I hear My Boss, My Hero is super funny. I plan to have a look at it at some point. I've probably said this before but I love MARS! It's the best Taiwanese drama I've seen so far. Better in my opinion than the popular Autumn's Concerto. I don't watch anime or read manga so the show was a pleasant surprise for me. I really liked the romance. So unlike the cheezy, childish stuff you see in most Korean & Japanese dramas.

As for the cinematography on the show. Yeah, totally agree, but I think this is true for Taiwanese shows in general. They tend to have bad overall production values in comparison to Korea & Japan. Taiwanese dramas also have an awful tendency to replay the same theme song over and over again! If you think things are bad in MARS wait til you watch Autumn's Concerto (... if you do)! lol That one almost drove me mad. Literally. It's a wonder I managed to finish the show ... with my sanity intact. lol
Finally when it comes to the acting, my opinion is that the female lead did an okay job. I believed her as someone who is suffering from trauma. The male lead was just pure eye candy! LOL

Your study sounds awfully interesting, but I'm sure if you go into more detail my brain will explode! :p Out of all the scientific subjects I did in HS biology was my best, physics my worse. Speaking of which ... did you hear about the man in Nigeria who was trapped several hundred feet under the sea for 3 days and SURVIVED??? Mindboggling, fascinating story! Guess what saved his life & made him survive underwater for 3 days? PHYSICS!!!

How are you liking The Walking Dead? If I had any interest in western shows at the moment I'd've picked it up, but I haven't watched a new (for me) western show in over a year. Only the ones I'd been watching prior to my drama addiction, Spartacus and Game of Thrones. And even so I haven't watched the last seasons of either show. They're really good, though, so I'll get back to them at some point.

Is Reply 1994 still pissing you off? What's pissing you off about it? I think I'd like to watch it, but that's the thing with airing dramas; you never know how they'll turn out. Look at Marry Him if You Dare. That show seemed have started off with a bang for a lot of people, but in the end most were very disappointed. That's why I prefer to know what I'm getting myself into before I waste my time. Keep me posted on how Reply develops for you.

Yeah, Ella is an unconventional leading lady, alright, but I ended up really liking her. I hear she's mostly a singer. I hope that if she does more dramas or movies in the future she'll challenge herself beyond these goofball roles ... although she may play them well! I just know movie/drama execs will want to use her as the perfect scapegoat for typecasting.

I'll definitely be checking out Jerry Yan's other works. Sadly according to this site he hasn't done very many movies and the ones listed haven't stuck an interest. His other dramas aren't appealing to me either.

But yes, he's very seductive without coming off as sleazy like that Coffee Prince guy. lol Now I like the Coffee Prize guy, but in almost every show I've seen him in he comes across as a sleazeball (the same is true for another actor who I actually really like, Ha Jung Woo). Anyway, no other movie epitomizes the Coffee Prince guy being a sleaze more than Petty Romance! haha Not that it mattered because I really enjoyed that that movie! :)

Back to Yan, yeah ... the guy sure is easy on the eyes, but I felt drawn to his acting too. Maybe next to Ella's overacting his calm delivery just seemed more natural & authentic to me. I dunno. I'll have to see him in a couple more shows to decide.

Hey Outsider, I'll probably not watch Two Women because of the number of episodes. I like to marathon dramas, but right now I'm too busy to dedicate time to such a long series. I'll keep it in mind for later though so thx for bringing it to my attention.

As for Korean songs, I'm not much of a kpoper, but I do listen to Korean music from time to time, esp if I liked the OST in a drama or film. I've heard some Korean hip hop and rap which were pretty good! I like it and would listen to more if I knew who the good rappers were.

Please introduce me to the singer you have in mind. I'm always open to new musical experiences! :)

Ser ikke på noe for tiden. Ble nettopp ferdig med Down with Love og vurdere nå neste drama. Muligens det blir en taiwanske til eller den japanske serien som har sittet på 'currently watching' lista mi i ukevis. Har sett på noen filmer, Love Will Tear Us Apart og Love You You. Likte den forrige, men den siste var bare ... so-so! Det var ikke dårlig men jeg liker ikke romcoms som ikke har noe kyss, vet du! lol Romcom skal ha kyss! :)

No worries. Even though I'm on the site each day I hardly have time to respond to everybody. Asiatorrents.me is a great site for finding movies. Normally you're only able to join this site by invitation only, but for the entire month of December there's open registration so anyone who's interested can sign up. Hope you see this in time to check it out.

How are you liking Heirs? It's helmed by a screenwriter who has written some of the most enjoyable Korean dramas I've ever watched, but based on the buzz so far Heirs seems to have put a major blemish on her reputation. Most of my friends here on the site are not enjoying the show! I'd planned to watch it, just because I like the writer and because I'd finally get to see Lee Minho in action, but when preliminary reviews are so bad ... I dunno if I should even bother.

Same goes for Marry Him If You Dare. I really wanted to watch this drama because of the leads. It seemed to have started out great with many people loving it, but now that it has stopped airing most of the reviews are pretty poor. Many people seemed to have disliked the ending most. I've heard it was left pretty open ... which is the most frustrating type of ending. So I definitely won't watch that one.

Anyway, even though I probably won't watch them, tell me what you think about these dramas. Always good to have different perspectives in the event I change my mind.

Have you watched a lot of shows with cheating wives? Which are those? In my experience it's mostly the husbands who cheat. I think I've seen only one movie where the wife cheated, but that's about it.

I actually don't mind cheating as a theme, but I don't want it to be in EVERY romantic drama film or tv series that I watch.

I prefer watching romances with happy couples. Of course they can bicker & get on each other's nerves but it mustn't be mean-spirited or hateful, and they must eventually make up ... something like what happened in Sleepless Night.

But I've found that most romantic dramas in Korean cinema rarely end happily. And most of the time the husband & the wife seem to really despise each other. Have you ever noticed that or is it just me? LOL

Oi, takk for advarselen! Jeg hadde veldig lyst til å se den pga Lee Dong Gun. Jeg liker han veldig godt! Men det ser ut som de aller aller fleste er meget skuffet. Jeg hater 'open endings' som få deg til å sitte igjen med mer spørsmål enn svar og det virker som dette er det man får i Marry Him. Mer frustrasjon vil jeg ikke ha i livet mitt! hahaa

Og ja Ella er helt crazy men fin jente selv om jeg begynner å bli lei all frem og tilbake i de siste 5 episodene. Ingenting skjer. Som vanlig med Taiwanske serier så drar de ut ting alt for mye. Jeg har hoppet over mye, men liker fortsatt karakterene Ella og Jerry spiller.

Synd at du kastet bort tiden din på en drama som var ikke verdt det! :(
