Title Temptation
Basically a drama glorifying cheating and third party interference. A woman decides she wants to break up a marriage…
You have to be if you're going to blame this man's despicable behaviour in this drama on his wife. Smdh.

The drama with real kisses
Yeah, but too few of them! As usual.

The is the best DRAMA ever, it totally beats Bridal Mask, Secret Garden, Signal, Boys over Flowers, City Hunter,…
Your comment made me LMAO because you wrote exactly what I was thinking when I read SuperDrama's comment above. ... everyone has different tastes and beauty when it comes to k-dramas is indeed in the eye of the beholder ... but AOHY was by far NOT the best K-drama for me.

Lucy, have you seen Temptation? AOHY is a problematic drama, but without even knowing you I would dare say that if you watch Temptation you'd probably adjust your 'worst drama in k-drama history' lickety split!

I started this drama based on people's review. Everybody is saying it's a great drama etc. But I find…
I don't hate it, but I'm no where close to liking it either so I get you. I think DK is the only mature character in this drama. Even though he isn't good at expressing himself and he avoids speaking out when he should, I can relate to him. HY is too clingy... whiny, desperate ... to be my kind of female character. DK was way too good for her. Besides DK, the men in this drama were also way too ridiculous and childish for my tastes. I should drop it but I guess I'll watch it to the end just to see what happens.

Urgh. This is the first I've ever hated a male lead character so much, that it just boils me with anger. I'm at…
If you think DK is 'a fucking jerk, coward, pathetic' ... then I strongly recommend you do not watch Temptation! haha Cuz if you think DK is this bad because of a genuine misunderstanding, not some contrived BS ... then I can't imagine what you'd think of Seok Hoon in Temptation. Look, your experience is your own and I'm not taking that away from you, but personally I think you're overreacting about the whole thing. Just like HY did ... maybe that's why she resonates with you.

Title Another Miss Oh Spoiler
What kind of a jerk would freaking ruin a girl's marriage, a guy's life, not tell the girl the truth for a long…
Come on, give the guy a break. It was all just one big misunderstanding that could happen to anyone and that unfortunately had broader repercussions than DK intended. He was hurting himself and didn't realize that one simple act, done in a drunken, heartbroken state of mind would have such a chain reaction and end up hurting people he didn't intend to hurt. Moreover, he did intend to tell her about the whole thing ... before he was intercepted by Hæ Jin. Or did you miss that part?

DK is a good guy, he isn't always great at expressing his feelings, but it's clear that his heart is always in the right place. He looks out and cares for the people he loves, esp HY, in his own way. He never intended to deliberately hurt anyone. He made a mistake, took responsibility for his actions and apologized. What more did you want him to do? When HY demanded that he beg her forgiveness in the middle of the street, that was her low self-esteem talking. Not a grown, rational adult with a reasonable sense of self-worth. I'm glad he walked away because she was totally out of line and she totally overreacted about the entire situation.

DK didn't even mean to hurt Hæ Jin personally ... it's a classic case of mistaken identity and even if HJ was who DK thought he was, he had no way of knowing that once CEO Jang withdrew his investment, other investors would follow and subsequently ruin HJ's business and get him thrown in jail for corruption. How the heck was he suppose to know that? He thought CEO Jang would withdraw from the deal and that's that. CEO Jang is a part of his network ... and when you have a falling out with someone, it's kind of natural to get people in your network to avoid that person. As a matter of fact, the corruption bit you can't even blame DK for ... that's solely on HJ. If he were running a clean business in the first place, he wouldn't have gotten arrested on suspicion of fraud and corruption.
Look, at least DK was always man enough to take responsibility for his actions instead of blaming other people ... like everyone else did.

For me HY was the one I had a problem with. She was too clingy, emotionally unstably with very low self-esteem ... if DK did something she didn't understand, instead of talking it out with him and getting his reason like an adult, she'd throw a tantrum and act like a bloody child. I seriously don't know how he tolerated her. She's definitely not my kind of woman, at all. I couldn't stand her mother either. But this is just the K-drama mom cliche. Meddlesome and overbearing. Sorry, but miss me with that sh*t. HY is a grown ass woman, she isn't supposed to need her mommy to solve her man problems for her at her age. Tsk!

I actually completely agree with this review. This movie was way too long. This is a problem with a lot of South Korean movies, they have a tendency to overstay their welcome. I was glad when it finally ended.

Gorgeous to look at, erotic, dark, fascinating. But soft porn is soft porn, no matter how pretty or beautifully…
You and me both. I found her barely tolerable in Obsessed, which was a large part of why the film didn't work for me. The sex scenes came across as very highly rehearsed and as much as I love SSH, he needs to have a strong co-star in order for him to up his game, which Im Ji Yeon was not. Have to say though that I did see some improvement in her acting in The Treacherous. Considerably so given the corpse she played in Obsessed. I too was taken aback by how smoothly her transition into K-dramas seemed to have gone. Maybe she has friends in high places. Who knows.
Yes, in terms of building sexual tension, I prefer the same as you. The Handmaiden certainly didn't leave much to the imagination. But that wasn't and isn't my utmost complaint, but rather that the film had more style going for it than substance. Perhaps.

Hmm, I see everyone loved this movie, except me. Guess hot lesbian sex doesn't hit the spot for me. Park Chan-Wook was at the top of his game as always though. Masterful direction - that tableau of the girls in the living room, one sitting, one standing was so exquisitely composed it was like the actors were painted into a picture. Excellent! But the story ... hmm, ok... meh. I thought it was a story about the overthrow of a Japanese imperialist, but it turned out to be something completely different. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either ... I can't really pinpoint why. Just didn't work for me somehow. Otherwise, breathtaking art direction, superb performance by the one and only Ha Jung Woo (this guy is the epitome of the term 'fly' in this movie, but isn't he always is? That's kinda why I love him. He's a scene stealer of the best kind!). Kim Min-hee was also noticeable in her role. I really wanted to love this picture a lot more than I did. Too bad that wasn't meant to be.

What's her face ... Im Ji Yeon seemed to have thrived from having done multiple nude scenes in different movies. The gratuitously produced Obsessed was her film debut, then she followed that up with the The Treacherous which was only slightly better. Seems to be her thing. No doubt Park Chan-Woo is a master at his craft, and that his usual signatures were heavily present in this film, but somehow I was disappointed by The Handmaiden. Can't put my finger on exactly why, but I found myself wishing I had stayed home than going to the cinema to watch this. Clearly I am in the minority here.

Funny story: I am watching ep4 and my niece walks in the room (she's 16). -What are you watching? -A kdrama -Oh,…
I agree that Asians tend to age well, up to a certain age at least (It would seem like they appear young and youthful up around age 50 and then after that they seem to age rapidly ... just an observation of mine). Anyway, aging well is a gift that most 'melanated' people have. But let's also not forget that cosmetic surgery is rampant in many parts of Asia, and especially Korea. These stars get a lot of work done in pursuit of a forever youthful appearance.

Don't get too excited. There's probably 'no secret' other than movie magic aka good make up, good lighting, good camera with lenses that can change/enhance picture quality and good colour grading. If you see her in real life her age is likely to show more than on screen. I know because I work in the film industry and know how shooting a movie/tv show works. Directors and producers want their actors to look good on screen. Beautiful actors have an effect on audiences. It keeps them watching, even if the show itself sucks so the crew does everything they can to make the actors look as good as possible. Obviously their hard work is paying off because you guys fall for it hook, line and sinker. LOL

I was slain by little Choi Ro Won, first in King's Daughter, Soo Bæk Hwang, where I wanted to snatch him from the screen and run away with him, then in Plus Nine Boys. He's just soooo adorable. Lee Chæ Mi was also cute in P9B, but young Choi really took the cake for me. I love that kid!
