I would say season 1 is probably pretty good if you want to watch something light-hearted, season 2 is a bit more heavier. Overall I think it's pretty good for a school drama. Not too many scenes with chemistry between the leads though if you're into that sort of thing because they spend quite a bit of time bickering. (not surprising because the male lead is so obnoxious and immature)

Yes apparantly in the first court ruling the drama could be broadcased if the producers paid the author 500,000 yen but the author said it was too low and it was not the amount they agreed initially so she filed another complaint. Don't know what's going on. But I hope they will at least finish airing ep 21-27 cos the trailers for those eps look really good.

It's not canceled yet but the dispute was never resolved. It's because the jury still hasn't decided if the production team can release it or not which is why they released it. It's awkward because they're breaking the law yet there are no serious repercussions because the judge/jury hasn't cone to a decision yet. But about a couple of days ago the author posted an article on weibo saying that she's filed another court order and that she won't give up the fight until she gets compensated so we will see
