he stood out in TBOY - granted his styling wasnt as good but he was just pure evil and everyone hated him lol so he wasnt in the modern motorcycle poster that the whole cast did and he did one solo
He was another love obsessed villain in LODT , this one you can see his evil demon sect xianxia look but yea the silver wig will always make ppl noticed x1000

finally finished, beautiful last episode , I think one of the best endings I've seen in a while and I love how their costumes are just like ink clouds

i know some dislike seeing so much of the aunt's story and understand that it's also the script's story hence why it's called Generation to Generation, but it's why this story is also special because its end point of the story isnt to defeat some big bad destroyer that just wants to bring darkness to the world or who wants to rule the world. The whole story is always about the ties that bind people, most times it's ppl who have affection leave leverage for others to hold it against you but here you really feel the sense of camaderie and righteousness in the way they deal will ppl, and it's always about personal affections and attachments, Cai Pingshu's web of relationships were all attachments and love for her and I love how that even with the current generation and main leads, we still have her also in the forefront and not just a side plot because she was so legendary but also so broken at the end . I'd never understand why the terrible director butchered the 1st 10 episodes to get over the humps of the earlier plot but i'm glad the rest of the story was given the right pacing. anyways im only at ep 22 so off to continue watching

drama follows book closely, explains a lot of stuff more clearly and relationships with her disciples too , it is also really emotionally heavier than drama

i'm halfway! but man there's definitely a new generation of future MLs in this drama, hoping to see more of them later in new costume dramas, just like Li Yun Rui

yes , probably the best drama book adaptation in these 4 years was Lost You Forever cos they split into 2 seasons but even that they compressed quite a lot.
At least they really brought to life the setting for GTG the Cliff Sect , and their living areas, none of them were recycled sets of Hengdian lol

changing times now means they couldnt have used the full 40 ep quota and butchered the early 10 eps from one arc to another, 2 story arcs told in one episode, barely gave us any of her rapport with sect disciples, it's just shoved for us to accept that she's on good terms with 4th brother etc. Long form dramas are declining .

ep13 where Peng bird is looking for Cai Zhao, sends me LOTR vibes , finally getting past the frenetic editing phase.
