when she interacts with other people she judges them whether they are good or not , he had good character and didnt have the kind of baggage like her slimy ex that we see in the next preview . Hence she wants him because, he's MANLYYYYYY thoughtful and treats her well and showed that he cared for her. IF all her previous relationships she never but he made her feel a little warm and fuzzy, why give it up just because she isn't from same rich background.

ah i guess it's just if you were expecting idealistic romance this isnt it, it's urban drama so it's more gritty than a typical romance. Both of them have masks on , she built a dam that's full of lies and it keeps leaking, he already knows and is watching how hard the duck is paddling to keep it afloat. To him it's a marriage of convenience, so I'm waiting for the moment when it reaches a boiling point and their masks are torn off. If this isnt the kind of thrill you enjoy then I hope you will find one that's more your taste.

cos she fits him ,lower background, beautiful hardworking and her aspirations to be anchor would bring him better connections and she's proven herself when she tried to win his mother plus he would be dominant in the dynamic and she wouldnt make demands on him. If he married a woman of equal background from a powerful/good family then he wouldnt have such freedom since the woman would also be part of the power couple equation. Their familly would also have high expectation or something in exchange. With Xu Yan , he thinks that she wants his money so he just showers her with expensive stuff to keep her in line and it's easy.
