as a person that loves reading cultivation stories, this drama gives me everything that I love about cultivation genre - a beast that actually freaking battles, formation and formation cores, regression of spiritual realms from Transcendence to Nascent or progression from Qi Refining to Foundation to Golden Core, refining pills or doing alchemy, going down the mountain for disciple training and gaining experience, disciple getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to enter a secret realm, all these things on top of a master disciple trope, unrequited love from jealous characters, and hey i;m only at episode 20. Good stuff!
I don’t understand the High priest behavior on the ship. He seemed indifferent to all that was happening around…
because of how his clan treated him before, used him when they needed him , sealed him when they're afraid of him and no longer need his divine power. So he isn't at anyone's beck and call and he lost his innocence and kindness for the world. His semi divine status makes him care less for regular people, therefore the people's plight has nothing to do with him.
Guys I wanna start because so many people have been raving about this but should I wait until it's 20 eps or it's…
I'm at episode 9 and i'm dying of laughter. The story is good, i also read the novel. It's nothing like any xuanhuan or xianxia I've watched before and it's fun
as a lover of fantasy and auto love for xianxia, MM is definitely one of the top just in terms of the story and…
ooh thanks for the in depth comparison, I read the novel for TLI and while i know dramas will always adapt to fit a drama differently and usually I like reading books before the drama airs ( did it for Blossom and most of Liu Xue Yi's recent /about to air dramas ) I'm kinda glad i didn't read the book for MM and I'm still enjoying it immensely even with no background knowledge aside from the ALP/TLI trilogy and past info. The script dept here really slayed.
I am reading the novel now but, keep putting that on hold and come back to watching the drama again. This is my…
as a lover of fantasy and auto love for xianxia, MM is definitely one of the top just in terms of the story and execution of plot and the tight world building . I didnt read the novel, does the drama differ a lot from the novel?
im on first two episodes, omg im loving it so much, i frigging love xianxia!! maybe it's cos it's been awhile since i watch any so im not burnout on them lol loving every minute so far.
yes I was thinking the same thing. First the pearl and jewelry trade with Story of Pearl Girl and now the Silk…
I love Silk Trade history and I've journeyed through parts of it years ago - especially to Mary / Merv one of the Silk Trading Route capitals back in the day, it's all dust and desert now so yes imagine the conditions of travelling and how ppl literally find gold from craft and would rob kill for the control of said luxury items. I'm also looking forward to the Flourished Peony business drama next year, we already saw one Peony show up as a top prize in Brocade Odyssey hehe
wow Youku is really doing something about sharing Chinese culture and merchant stories. I'm only at ep 9 but so far im enjoying the story and all the characters, that Niu Jin is argh so maddening but it's exactly how most of the novels in these kind of stories work out also - power and counterattacks and suppression of others etc. L
I wish I could be patient🙂 Because when I read some of the comments I really get angry 😡 and I have to control…
PLEASE PLEASE DONT INTERACT WITH Troll it's a virus that sprouts and multiplies and then brings on alt accounts, and it grows like a damn fire the more oxygen you give it by fighting them with facts, cos they haunted other drama pages constantly , i dont even know what fandom it's from i dont even think it's a ZLY fan , it hates ZLY and just wants to make you all mad at ZLY .
loving every minute so far.
