What's wrong with MDL ratings nowadays? 8.6 is too little in my opinion. And what's wrong with Day seeing again? Have y'all forgotten that Day hails from a very rich family, his mom being a star chef and all? Eye donations are of course possible for him, he would be in top waiting list. And what's more? There are people who sign up for organs donation after their death, which includes corneas as well. Families of the deceased can also donate that person's organs. All is possible if the corneas match for Day...that's it. Be positive and don't lose hope. Why Day seeing again is making y'all sad? Why people are seeing such a good work in a negative way?
So, this is coming from someone who has extensive experience of watching BLs. I had been putting this off because…
1. There seemed to be a GL storyline but they didn't give a proper confirmation of that relationship or a closure...it seemed unnecessary. I haven't read the webtoon(And I no plans of reading it as of now) so I don't know if that subplot was present in the original work. 2. In the final episode, did Da Un dream the first half? He was at home, and his parents were cooking or something but usually they don't be at home...and Da Un ignored them and went outside when they called him to dine with them. Then, he meets Si Won and walks and they see a couple, who very much look like Siwon's parents, going on a happy walk. And Si Won says something before the kiss...what was that? I am not a Korean native, but I guessed it to be 'I love you too' with lip-reading, not sure if I am right. This whole sequence was good considering it delivered a few good kisses, but it seemed confusing...wish they did some coloring and editing so that it would indicate the dream more clearly or had Da Un wake up after the dream. 3. In the last episode, after they reconcile and talk about filming, what Da Un whispers to Si Won? 4. D.B.W on the guitar - I know Do Ba Woo said he had liked someone, so was the person playing that guitar his crush/ex? I guess there was planned to be a S2, but it looks like we are not getting it, so someone can clarify. Thanks in advance.
So, this is coming from someone who has extensive experience of watching BLs. I had been putting this off because I thought of watching it after the S2 completes as well (I like to complete everything on one go instead of waiting for next season), but seems like there is a no S2 after two years, so decided to watch this now. Both the leads are handsome, their acting was good and their chemistry was chemistrying! The cinematography was as usual excellent as expected from a typical Korean production. The show touches issues on body shaming, insecurities, loneliness, family and social pressures, and they have addressed it really well. However, I did find some flaws in the show: read the spoiler please, and clear my doubts if you watched the show or read the webtoon. "The celebrity and the chef" Did they hint To My Star? And I really liked the specs guy...Do Ba Woo, he was so cool. Overall: 7/10 for me.
Actually I came across a FMV of John Jang and Jang Mi couple and so I decided to give it a go(I am a fan of rarely spoken diverse love stories). I knew they were side couples and this was variety show styled drama, but I hoped to have more of their on-screen time. The variety show starts only from 5th episode, and till that it was about ML and FL(more focused on FL). For me, my favorite characters were Sang Woo, Jang Mi and Ji Yeon. And Yoo Reum's parents were gems...they always called her "My Yoo Reum" and "My daughter"...they were so caring. Chae Ri had a complex personality but there was not much backstory to her...and I felt it was unnecessary. Though they wrapped up the stories of the main characters and some support roles, I can't believe they let Joon Ho walk free after all he had done before being cast on the show and during the show. I expected him to repent or get arrested, and that didn't happen. Overall, 7/10 for me.
I am an Indian, and we Indians are always proud and happy whenever anything related to India is portrayed in the foreign shows positively. Also, there are huge number of Bright fans in India. An Indo-Thai film with Bright, what else I need? The plot wasn't unique, the comedy felt forced and the romance was quite low. But, the actors did good job, carrying their roles well. Mahir and Anahita are big names in Indian television industry, and I feel so proud of them. Its good to see that the Indian wedding and its rituals were represented pretty much correct...though one should understand that India is a very diverse country, not every wedding is done on a big scale and the rituals and traditions and methods differs for everyone. That Monica chasing scene reminded me of Indian soap operas. Overall, if you want to watch Bright shining 'bright'ly with an Indian themed wedding on the background, you can definitely give it a go! Anything for Bright! And the Hindi song "Hey Shava" was just chef's kiss.
Don't know why I watched this too late. I had least expectations but this series turned out to be so good. We all know how exceptional Earth's acting is right from the UWMA days, but Santa was just amazing...for me, this has to be the best role of Santa. He was good with those micro-expressions from the first episode to the last - Cake always knew immediately whenever Eiw felt sad or angry. And the pair had the best hugs and cuddles, that made be feel so single! Their bond was so pure and true and real. On a personal note, Eiw as an introvert was very relatable and his schooldays had this old school vibes that 90's kids can relate...that was pure nostalgia for me. Overall, I was quite impressed by this show.
Night owns episode 10, no doubt in that. The entire dinner scene of Night with his mom and Day had me in tears. Night trying to leave because he thought they had forgot him and also to give his mom and Day some space to interact. Must have been hard for him...it's obvious Mom cared more for Day since that incident and didn't check much upon how Night was doing. And Night has accepted it, because he thinks he deserves it all as he blames himself for everything. Day remembering Night's favorite dish and Mom telling him to eat with them...he must have felt so good to be loved and cared for again after a long time. "The moon is beautiful tonight." Day repeating Mohk's words...I hope this line goes into BL history as one iconic line. I really hope Day gets cured next episode...even though I know it would be the 11th episode. Imo, no other BL series can compete with Last Twilight because LT is one of a kind. I would definitely recommend even to non-BL people. This series is an eye-opener that can be enjoyed by all without any prejudice. If you are newbie trying to enter BL land, please do watch LT.
Honestly, I watched this because I came across a Prab x Chol edit in YouTube. A typical stepbrothers love. Typical school series...but the usual blue shorts were replaced by long black trousers. Ok, but whose dad would introduce his new wife and her son to his own son with such ease? And there was no shocking reaction from son too. There were too many characters, some even unnecessary...and each of them has someone liking them. Forget about love triangle, this was a love hexagon. In the first few episodes, I could not even distinguish the faces and register their names, though I am familiar with dramas for more than five years. The story was all over. Stepbrothers love and there was a possibility that they could be blood related. What felt unique was Chol being a very smart student was pushed by the faculty to choose Medicine when his interest was in photography/Communication Arts. I have never came across such a thing in reality or on screen elsewhere, but I would hate if any school would force students to choose their majors that could raise the reputation of the school. And then suddenly, Prab declares he's dating Chol. When it happened? I have no idea. 13 episodes were too much for this...and one more annoying thing in the series was that, in many scenes where the main characters or side characters are interacting at school/university, a bunch of classmates stared at them awkwardly or with disgust. Why director chose to do that, I am clueless. Because those interactions were just between friends, with no romance. The songs used in the series was good, but they randomly popped at odd scenes. Overall, I won't recommend this...but if you just need a series as a filler or something like that, you can give it a go. Imo, I am not curious about a S2, and I hope they don't waste the resources to develop this plot.
I don't know about others...I have still seen many people avoiding Last Twilight compared to Pit Babe and The…
I know this ending was coming to me. But, I cried a Sea(pun intended) and I am still crying as I write this. Mohk might not understand the ending, but I do. David took his daughter around the world when her eyesight was fading away just like Mee's body faded. Their last destination was the Veha mountain and that's where Mee's curse got lifted and she became a statue...once she became a statue, her body won't fade and she will be able to see the light forever. In David's daughter's case, the girl last saw the Last Twilight and she lost her eyesight. Her last memory of her seeing the world was the Last Twilight. And she forever stayed in that beautiful memory(that's how I interpreted). And the Veha mountains was their last destination, since David had no other reason to travel since his daughter can't see any more. In Day's case, his last memory would be a close-up of Mohk and then his world turned dark. "The last image I remember is when we were together". In his mind, he would be forever with Mohk on the Veha mountains with an orange sky and a rainbow. And the last twilight we saw here is their pure imagination. Day imagined it first and Mohk related to it(though the orange sky idea was Mohk's, he didn't picture the scene like Day did). I think many of us live in our own dreams and imaginations, where everything is beautiful and perfect, and we tend to live in that dream/imagination, even if our reality is dark. And for us, it will be our most beautiful memory forever.
I don't know about others...I have still seen many people avoiding Last Twilight compared to Pit Babe and The Sign, but for me...no matter how many series comes out, Last Twilight is gonna be my all-time favorite series. At this point, I am willing to donate my own eyes for Day to see, because my heart is paining by seeing Day and Mohk suffer. I am sure I will watch this for another million times, and each time crying just like this first time. I even cried watching the OSTs! Seriously, LT should be more hyped because its worth it. Please read my interpretation of the last scene if you like.
MDL ratings are not trustworthy anymore! This was a very funny and cute series. I have not read the manga but I have I watched the Japanese movie, and I think this adaptation was pretty good. The leads had chemistry, and I loved the brotherly affection of Tee, and Anda was adorable(and gorgeous as a woman). Fun fact: In Hindi, Anda means egg. In Tamil, Anda means utensil. I couldn't stop laughing when Anda's name popped up every time.
It was just okay for me. A workaholic and a chef have feelings for each other. Then a third person who likes the workaholic enters, and around the end of the drama, the ex of chef appears. Misunderstanding is in the air. Then it gets cleared and they end up together. The only thing that kept me excited was the food, and I liked how in some episodes the chef compared two similar dishes and explains what makes one dish unique over the other. Also, glad that K from The Devil Judge reincarnated as Yoon Soo and got his deserved happy ending.
This is so so underrated. I mean, some of GMMTV productions this year weren't that good, but they still got a better rating. Is MDL glitching or are the people biased? Imo, this show should have a 8/5 at least. Yeah, the visual effects weren't good...and Charn's office exploding as if a bomb was planted inside were all flaws. But, it didn't tamper the storyline or pacing so I was fine with it. I have seen more bizarre editing, visual effects and scenes in Hindi soap operas(eg. washing a laptop and drying just like laundry, breaking the moon's surface or travelling to moon on scooter, falling from the first floor for 15+ days, etc.) So, keep aside flaws with regard to graphics and watch this series, you won't regret!
Wow...I watched it without much expectations and I ended up loving it. Such a cute story, I was smiling like an idiot throughout the last episode. The chemistry was great between the leads, and the acting of both the main leads were pretty good. And the OST is damn addictive. Would rewatch again if I need a quick, fluffy BL in future. Please do watch it if you just wanted to relax with a cute romance.
Watched mainly for Joon Jae x Takuya pair, but they and the other couple had very less screen time compared to rooms 609 and 610. These two couples had like 3 to 4 scenes, but the other two had only one or two scenes each episode. And I am happy that Joon Jae and Takuya had happy ending. Need a spin off with only them.
Its not BL series, there is no romantic relationship between the guys. But, there is bromance. Due to the soul…
Yeah. But due to Pan's meddling, Way falls for Kim in the end, so it may come across slightly as a BL. You can watch it for the story and the bromance though...and it is one fun series.
