never knew Wa ren could be a badass investigator damn girl such a silent killer
I have been waiting to see Wu Ren take control of the situation. Before she was just a sidekick to Li Pei Yi.

I like how she covers his eyes when ol' boy knifes himself. lol. Always so protective of her Star Bae.
I don't understand why she covered his eyes. He's not a child. I think she should give him more credit. It makes him look sensitive and delicate, which he has not displayed before. I could see the scene playing out, if Li Pei Yi was a male, and Xiao Huai Jin was a female.

Was Li Pei Yi jealous of her younger self? 😄Also, second time Xiao Huai Jin noted that she is not a romantic....I…
I saw that look of instant jealousy. LOL I also think he was referring to her (...Young Pei Yi).

being anti-romantic is a part of li pei yi's charm
Pei Yi and Huai Jin gazing at the stars, looked so romantic.

who was the bearded man in the carriage who ordered the assassination of Pei Yi? I’m having trouble remembering…
I was trying to discern the features of the man in the carriage. If it is Mr Xiao, there would be no possibility of Li Pei Yi and Xiao Huai Jin getting together in the end. I was speculating that it is Li's Master Du Zhi Xing . He might be stringing Li Pei Yi all along for many years.

I remember a drama awhile ago, where the Master, who had been rearing the orphan for years, turned out to be the villain. It might have been a Kdrama.

Aw so sad that brought tears to my eyes i understand the friendship Pei Yu and ying had but i dont quite understand…
When she asked Emperor permission to take Pei Yu's ashes homes, I knew she was not planning to return to the capital. It looked like her farewell.

oh am so happy prosecutor Gu is on screen again Wa ren never stopped mentioning him he other than Mr Xiao he is…
I can't wait for their reunion. You could tell that she was disappointed when he was leaving town.

I am thinking that she felt guilt that he sacrificed his whole life and his freedom for her, and she decided she could not live on. At the end of the day, that was her best decision.

I don't know how to feel about the last case. He went around killing people to protect her, then killed himself…
That subplot made a full circle. I just let it flow. I didn't pay too much attention to detail.

i can feel it from his side, not from her till ep 13/14. She doesn't seem to be in that 'fall in love' mood -…
It was fun when she was enthusiastic about the marriage.

i actually liked how sweet the couple were. The prince was in love with her, but she wasnt!... felt bad for both…
I wonder if Emperor has an eye on her, but she is his niece.

Ep9, (27min in) , there's a guy in a cape that introduces/brings the red girls into the spa, why hiding his face…
I also thought he sounded like the Master.

It's one of those "I'm a mother!" types of Karen. Just because you're a mother, that doesn't mean you…
Consort Wei was delulu. She thought Emperor still admired her if he visited her for dinner and a chat. His consorts might not see him for years.

Can someone explain the last bit of ep 14, like i dont understand who' that young consort is (is it a new charecter…
That would have taken some serious magic to make Consort Wei look thirty plus years younger. LOL

My question is why are you looking for chemistry in a drama that's not a romance?
She also suspects Xiao's father's involvement or coverup in her clan's deaths, so she can't be jumping up and down with excitement over Xiao Huai Jin.

You can see that they have a mutual regard for each other when they are not looking directly at each other. I believe the plot is written that way as their job responsibilities and motives take top priority. We have to wait and see the direction of the plot.

Lady Wang was desperate to take her unborn child away, which was a hopeless, farfetched plan. I wonder how many children the Emperor has. His eye seems to be roving for young beauties. He must have a few dozen children, that Lady Wang did not want her child to be lost in the crowd. He doesn't grieve Prince Heng's passing, and now Prince Xin has gone on the Pipa road. I am guessing Emperor did not know he had another unborn child on the way.

Crimes get rewritten by characters, and no one is charged with a crime. Karma takes over, and exacts revenge. Talk about embellishment. Xiao, Li should become screenwriters. The Ghost Baby had a convoluted wrap up, but Consort Wei was attacked by ghost crows. Well done, Karma! Emperor is superficial to the bone. He just looked in horror at Consort's face and hands covered with some scratches. I was surprised that the crows did not attack Emperor.

Seeing Deng Kai's face blurred for two episodes is sacrilege. I was really looking forward to that moment 🥹
The director and editor think that blurry scenes is creative filmmaking. It just makes them look like amateurs in their profession.

The way Li Pei Yi poisoned his master...😅😂🤣she always tease her master...
That relationship between Master and Li is almost like father and daughter, except in ancient times, the patriarch did not really cherish the daughter.
