The Congressman might be the most unexpected comedy actor. I couldn't believe his acting, under the "influence".

I am worried for Dong Hyun, too. He doesn't seem to have an evil streak (LOL), so hopefully, they become best friends. KSJ might teach him how to cook. LOL

Especially the fish dish! LOL

I have seen Yoon Kyung Ho/Park Jae Yeong, Jung Woong In/ Baek Chun Ik, Choi Duk Moon/Kang Il Yeong and Ahn Kil Kang/Kim In Tae play serious dramatic characters. Their comedic skills are on point.

I think I remember that, but Ye Rin told Hwang Seok Ho that Kang Seong Jae had cooked the meal for him earlier, and he refused it. I thought it can't be the same plate of food.

They remind me of the "know-it-all" bosses in the workplace, who are clueless.

I have a comment about the tonkatsu meal that Kang Seong Jae gave to the N.K. drifter. Kang Seong Jae cooked it earlier in the day for the Commander but it was refused. At the end of the day, he gives a hot steaming plate to the North Korean man. Was the food refrigerated during the day? Battered food does not remain crispy and does not taste the same if you refry it. They made it look like it was hot off the stove.

I have been watching costume C-dramas only for many years. I went off on a tangent and picked up Legend of Kitchen Soldier, thinking it was a K-Reality show. The rate of pace of the plot is so different. Some of the characters are irritating, but I keep watching it. Kang Seong Jae and Yun Dong Hyeon are my most favorite characters. I normally have trouble trouble with a sixty minutes episode, but each LKS episode is compelling.

You watch this show, and you thank the gods you don't have supervisors like Park Ja Yeong and Hwang Seok Ho. They would give you high blood pressure. LOL

Park Jae Yeong is high strung. He is bouncing off the walls. Too much caffeine in his daily diet! That boy can't shut up for a minute. His nemesis, Hwang Seok Ho, is a wind bag, talking in circles. These two men are your typical executive material. All talk and no action!

Thanks. Lee Seo Jin is my second favorite K-actor. First favorite K-actor is Hyun Bin, btw. I added the two dramas to my watchlist.

I picked up this drama a day after after watching Park Ji Hoon in King's Warden. You can see the contrast in his acting skills, watching these two jobs.

He went from 70% to 20% dislike. 😆😆

I have seen Park Ji Hoon in King's Warden and Legend of Kitchen Soldier, He reminds me of Lee Hyun Woo, ten years ago. I will have go through his drama resume. He was very convincing in King's Warden.

I was confused with the AI signs, but I guess that helps him function.

Episode 1 was funny. I can't wait to see what happened to Lt Baek Chun Ik after he ate the urchin soup. I wouldn't trust any of the food ingredients in that kitchen. Chef Yun Dong Hyeon is not fit to run a kitchen. His character quirks bring William Chan to mind, who I could see playing this role. I am guessing Kang Seong Jae is going to take over the kitchen soon.

This is my first Kdrama in a very long time. I'll give it a try. Luckily it is only twelve episodes.

Park Ji Hoon's acting was so believable. He looked very convincing as the exiled King Dan Jong / Lee Hong Ui. I hope he gets more costume drama or movie roles.

Very good acting by Yoo Hae Jin and Park Ji Hoon! The ending was sorrowful, and brought the tears to my eyes. If this movie had been showing at CVG, I would have gone to see it. CVG Cinema closed down in Los Angeles, in September 2025.
