I finally saw the Yan Ki Kuan, who I remember, in episode 34, today. Before, Prime Minister Wei Yan was just flitting in and out of the plot. He was commanding the room today. He and Xie Zheng look like father and son. Even the son! Lot of handsome men in the drama! Who is the woman that he loves?

Did Emperor spend the last seventeen years afraid of his own shadow? He was bouncing off the walls in episode 34.

Is that, Grand Tutor Li's masterplan? He's copying Prime Minister Wei's playbook.

Earlier in the drama, PM Wei was holding a two parts of a tiger tally, that did not match. In the next scene. Qi Min was holding half a tiger tally. I guessed it was the other half of the real tiger tally. Did Qi Min give it to Yuan Qing? At the time, I wasn't paying attention.

Me, too! I was surprised that the writer brought the two characters into the plot. They must have something important to contribute to the plot, or it is just to rile up the angst between Grand Tutor Li and Prime Minister Wei. The director and writer wanted to add more eye candy (... fresh meat, flower boys) for the viewers.

Qi Min is delulu cray-cray. He wants to kill his biological son. Doesn't he know he will not live long as Emperor, and will need a biological heir?

I wonder if Consort Sui was responsible for Qi Min's ill health all these years. Did she poison him slowly? She hated him and his mother, who killed her son. Even Lord Chang Xin hated him for years.

Yuan Qing has many lives. Qi Min stabbed him three times, and he was still alive to talk to the Female Bandit. I hope we have seen the last of him. Two new bad boys showed up at the end of episode 33. They might have been introduced at the beginning at the drama. Li and Wei!

The music composer created some incredibly beautiful mood music. He's a music genius. I was searching YouTube, but couldn't find the music,

That was a split second assault. It looks like the director doesn't want to show Xie Zheng sweating. LOL

I was surprised when he revealed his alliance to Qi Min.

So, is Grand Tutor Li helping Qi Min's overthrow in the court?

Ep 31 and 32 were slow paced. The calm before the storm? The highlight was when Xie Zheng cut off Head Eunuch's ear. That was brutal.

I knew the moment before the camera was redirected toward Lord Li, that he was Qi Min's spy. I started to trust him earlier when he was being brotherly to Chang Yu.

Sui Yuan Qing is a cat. He can't die easily, and he always escapes. Xie Zheng has been doing this purposely throughout the drama plot.

He looked 21. Charming, too!

That was a dark drama. The final final episode canceled out the drama plot.

Didn't they use that trick in Faithful? They made an alternate reality episode at the end where everyone lived happily ever after.

I can't recall a character who was unhinged or going off the rails as much as Qi Min. 🤣🤣

I think MDL might have shut down pending an internal investigation to confirm if anyone had posted the illegal content. I have been following MDL for nine years, and never saw it closed down. I check it out daily, even if I am not watching a drama, to look for new dramas to watch. The coincidence is too great.

He covered up the conspiracy by not revealing the truth. He should have left a letter to somebody...maybe Gongsun Yin or Lord Li?
