Same here! Allen Ren grew on me a year ago, but I haven't sat through his dramas. The Merman in Blue Whisper haunted me for years. I will give this drama a try. Peng Xiao Ran is one of my Top 3 favorite actresses.

I thought he was married already.

The ML prince actor looked promising but the pairing with the FL felt awkward. I passed on the drama.

It's not a memorable drama.

Chu brought my rating down from 7.5 to 6.5. He is the most irrational, hot-headed pretty boy prince.

That was a stupid drama. I watched the full 4 hours' episode on 4X speed. Ling deserved a man better than Chu.

That Prince Chu is a piece of work. I am watching the first one hour, fifty minutes of the drama, and Chu has strangdled Ling Ruo Jin every five minutes. He is the worst husband, worst prince. He faunts his girlfriend in front of Liu. I wish Ling would ditch him permanently.

LOL Murong Zhong from Fated Hears is back as Jiang Qing Yu [Yanmen Sect] .

Looking forward to seeing Xiao Shun Yao.

A memo to the Fated Hearts MDL fans;

We should thank everyone who contributed to the Comment section. I finished the drama five days ago, but I have checked the new comments daily, to get more insight into the viewers' POV. This drama was really thought provoking. "We hate them! We love them!" I don't know the final reaction to the drama in Mainland China, but it is one of the better costume dramas, and all the actors' performances were very good.

Thanks for the occasional replies to my comments. The virtual conversations were productive and constructive.

The writer didn't specify the characters' ages, but Jin Yan told Xi Yang something... "in all my twenty years...", which is assumed he meant he is 20. I didn't think Jing Shi would ten years older. To be tortured by the baby brother would be demoralizing. Empress Jing appears to be in her mid to 30s, which is feasible if Jing Yan is 20. The whole Jinxui arc sounds very fishy and ambiguous to me. LOL

He should play Emperor next. 😆😆😆
