I don't know what to say about ep 28. I knew what was coming from today's comments, but the execution of the script makes me question how the killer god was dumbed down after the execution of Zhuang Shen. Feng Siu Ge turned his back on Uncle Murong, and went off to throw a party. He thought Stepmother Dearest was harmless. When he returned to the palace, didn't he notice that there were no palace guards standing outside the emperor's door? Security is lax.

Murong Yao is a spineless sycophant. Didn't he threaten to kill Siu Ge previously? Now, he is having nervous breakdown and second thoughts about killing his buddy. Feng Siu Ge's men were cut down by the Imperial Guard. I thought they were crack soldiers.

The Dancer left her hairpin in the bushes. I am sure that Murong Yao will find it, and it mcould be a bauble that he gave her. She's the next name on the casualty list. It is remarkable that she was able to follow Murong Yao's carriage on foot, and catch up with them. She then ran back to town to find Yi Xiao, who later found Murong Yao and his two goons as they were riding off.

Sidebar: Those who watched Love's Ambition remember that Shen Hao Ming trusted Uncle Yu, who came after the Jinda company and Haochen. The lesson here, is to distrust the fake uncles. and always watch one's back.

I think Xiao Weiran is handsome, but he has to go. No loyalty to his blood sister! 🤣 I don't recall Murong Jie.

I hope Dr Ling survives the bloodboth. Given that Emperor Feng, PM Zhuang are gone, and Murong Zhong is hopefully on the shortlist, Ling is the next older character in the queue.

I would not be surprised if there had been conspiracies and betrayal in the Feng royal lineage. Feng grew up oblivious of the traps and pitfalls of being the supreme ruler, and allowed Zhuang to eliminate his beloved wife.

He was so lowkey before. I don't think anyone would have predicted his rise to villain.

The drama plot really became unhinged. I haven't watched ep 28. So far, the drama plot seemed plausible, for entertainment purposes, but this development with Sui Ge is off the radar.

In the beginning, the one voted most unlikely to turn rogue, would be Murong Zhong. He bided his time. I wonder how long he will control the stage. He would make a great Shakespearean character.

The bloodletting is endless. I can't wait for Empress Zhuang's turn. This like watching a Shakespeare drama, or as someone mentioned earlier, Game of Thrones. The actor who is missing from this drama is Sean Bean. LOL

Do you refer to the older actors? They really know their acting stuff. They probably went out for drinks after filming their angst scenes, and had a good laugh.

Watching Emperor Feng's mood swings was like watching a tennis game. Was he more unhinged than Zhuang Shen? Now, it's Murong Zhong's turn. Muahahaha! The character actors are falling, one after the other. Soon, the only one left will be Minister of Rites, the comedian.

Didn't he have four more days to live? She could have waited.
