The director made her up to look very old in this role. I have seen male characters in their 60s, with black hair. I read that there is a black tea that is supposed to dye grey hair black. She has a vast tea operation, that she should have discovered it. She could have consulted with Xie Huai An of Vendetta of An. LOL

I am getting a premonition that all the young women will have a redemption at the end, including Yun Shu. Granny should have married off all of them, when she had the opportunity. It's debatable if Granny will have a fatal stroke, or just become nice.

Let's call her Old Granny Hag! LOL

She probably chased away her husbands, and all the son-in-laws. She chased away the men who came to the house to woo her granddaughters. She thinks she is the Emperor Rong.

I wasn't expecting that either. I am guessing she was never fooled by her blind/not blind Yun Shu. Granny is the great manipulator.

She belittled them and told them to leave. When they walked out, she criticized them for leaving. The woman is manipulative and overbearing.

This is an excellent assessment of the lead roles. Is FL only interested in mating with the handsome ML, to carry on the bloodline? Granny might have been doing that, since there was a reference to Shan Bao's many grandfathers. I am surprised most of her granddaughters are unmarried.

Granny's flashback was a surprise. She was a pretty young woman. Ironically, the first husband is now an indentured servant in the family shrine, that looks gothic and ominous. I don't know why Granny is wrapping her forehead with that thick bandeau. The design isn't even attractive, and covers one-third of her face. Is she trying to cover up the wrinkles on her forehead? She must get a headache while she is wearing it. Granny looks 80 to 90 years old. Given the ages of the granddaughters, Granny would be in her late 50s or early 60s. The actress Xue Hua is 66 years' old.

I was getting bored with the drama plot, but watching the episodes every day. Lu Fu Sheng seemed to be looking for someone forever, and Shan Bao was looking suspicious forever. Was she really serious about marrying him, knowing his identity? I was only interested in watching their scenes together. The young Rong females, Granny, and the men/suitors were tiresome to watch. Episode 19 perked up the plot, with the return of Imperial Inspector Lu Jiang Li. I can't wait to see the Rong sisters and cousins choking at the big reveal, as well as that condescending butler/manager.

Wen Can and Yang Yi Tang should hang out together I feel sorry for Yan Bai Luo, who has to hang out with him. I think the character's name is Yan Bai Luo.

Are you referring to Wen Can or Yang Yi Tang? "Manchild" describes them perfectly.

Cheng Guan Yu acts like he is a eunuch. Now he is in love with Shan Bao. He is overreaching. Is Cheng, the butler?

Is the sister Wan still alive? I missed that scene.

Me, too! Once He said Yang was already dying, I thought immediately that Twin Brother poisoned Yang. The uncle is also acting guilty.

I decided to stick to Glory. Jumping back and forth would confuse me especially if the ML has the same face. I am surprised that Glory is way behind Unclouded Soul, when they were released three days apart.
