The battle scenes were well done. The dramas start off with an epic battle, and then, it's a day in the life of the characters, until there is a final battle invasion.

I didn't understand why there is a death camp in Susha that is identical to the one that Fu Yi Xao was in, years ago. Did Jing Shi infiltrate Susha, and set up the camp? Was Woman in Black running both camps? Susha and Jinxiu are not next door neighbors. Jing Shi does not seem that old, that he owned the Jinxiu camp. Did Jinxiu camp exist twelve years prior?

The Emperor Xia is poisoning XJS. Wasn't that the same subplot in Journey of Legend, with Emperor poisoning Li Chen Zhou? Someone said Li was his brother.

I had the same thought about the mother being alive in that secret place that Ning Fei was sent to. It seems far-fetched, but that could be a plot twist.

He's having some delulu moments in ep 14. I am unclear what his motivation is. His emperor brother is a degenerate, so I thought XJS might be planning to overthrow him. There are times when he looks charming, then he acts deluded. LOL

Ning Fei grew on me. I didn't like him when he first appeared, but he started to change as the story progressed.

Watching ep 14, deluded Xia Jing Shi reminds me of the delulu in Journey to Love and the delulu in Wonderland of Love. Someone should start a thread with all the drama delulu SMLs. There are so many of them, it's becoming hard to keep track of them.

Zuo Ye was Fei in Fangs of Fortune. Was he, the plague demon? I watched the drama a month ago.

😂😂 I have seen the actress in two dramas. Princess's reason for wanting to marry Xia was weird. Imagine if he had saved a dozen girls, he would have a dozen wives.

He glides off the horse. I noticed it every time. I have only watched the first ten episodes, btw.

He seems to dismount from the horse and land on his feet instantly.

She was Princess Delulu in Princess Agents.

She has done many good roles. Her breakout role was in Princes Agents. She went off the rails, and stole the army to invade some kingdom.

I would pick Minister Shen, but he is too short for the role of Masked Man. He acts so extreme, that no one would suspect him. He does "unhinged" well.🤣🤣🤣

Shen Wu, Lu Ke, Ning Fei are the most high strung characters. They must be on a caffeine diet. Shen Wu is literally bouncing off the walls. Lu Ke is a compulsive talker and gossiper. His buddy should slap him, to shut him up. Ning Fei is another hotheaded compulsive talker. Funny that Lu Ke is on Sui Ge's team and Ning Fei is on Xia Jing Shi's team.

Shen, Lu and Ning provide comic relief in the serious drama plot. Lu and Ning should be Shen's sons. LOL The doctor likes Ning Fei, I don't think he will be around at the end. Actor Li Yu (... Shen Wu, Ministry of Rites chief minister) is one of the most versatile character actors. He stands out in all his dramas.
