Jinxu Emperor Xia is useless. He's not governing his kingdom, and I doubt he has a strong Minister of War, and a strong army. Any neighbor can invade Jinxiu easily. Jingshi must be the closest thing to a military leader, but he is physically weak, and he hasn't seen his army in months. Why didn't he go directly to his military HQ instead of the palace, to be trapped by Emperor.

I thought it was a bit far-fetched when SiuGe suggested that Xi Yang could be chosen as Emperor. Did he really believe she had the capability to rule Susha kingdom? The boy is grasping at straws. If he doesn't want to be Emperor, if Emperor does not want Shuang's grandson to be Emperor, if Xi Yang is willing to run off with the enemy Jinxiu prince, Emperor needs to start scouring the family tree for male relatives, or just give the keys to Jinxui Emperor.

This is the first drama I have seen where the Emperor did not appoint a crown prince to succeed him. Both Susha and Jinxiu emperors! In Susha's case, his son Sui Ge is already a grown man.
