I think I watched three Blossom dramas. I couldn't watch the new ones. I tried to start Blossoms in Adversity, but gave up.

Once in a while, his head seemed to be offcenter. I didnt know the back story about the AI substitution, and didn't pay attention to Cheng. I have seen the actor previously, but he wasn't a face that I would do research on. The drama was Nothing but You.

I think Empress ordered Emperor to permit their marriage. She and husband fought together in the wars. She knew XJ and HY's ethics and integrity.

The walk down memory lane was filler. The writers could have moved up the Wutuo invasion, abd showed the army generals collaborating, planning and the execution of same. But execution would have required a budget for more soldiering extras, costuming and catering.

It should have come as no surprise that the Wutuo would invade, and the armies should have been on alert. The two master generals were idling in Jiyang. Supervisor Chu Zhao didn't participate in the war plans. He was babysitting He Yan, and practicing his flute solo. 😏

I am happy it was a fast drama. I would have been listless if it stretched out over three weeks.

When they were reminiscing about the old times, I thought of an old Korean drama, Winter Sonata where the ML and FL started retracing their past footprint. The ML had lost his memory for ten years, and didn't remember her. Its filler!

When Chu Zhao kept getting promotions for minimal achievements, he started manifesting fits of grandeur. 😆 The scriptwriters needed filler once they removed Xu Jing Fu and He Ru Fei.

I hope someone can compile clips of He Yan's fight scenes. I was very impressed with the fight sequences. They were well designed and executed.

I agree that the show lacked a despicable, vile villain. 🤣🤣 Xu, He, Chu, random Wutuo military leaders were not menacing enough.

I usually despise the villains in every costume drama, but I was slightly irritated with the ones in this drama.

He's trying to upstage Xiao Jue. He's probably envious that Xiao Jue has the respect of thousands of soldiers, while he only has Xu Ping Ting and Maid.

He became unhinged and arrogant. The second or third promotion must have gone to his head.
