Emperor needs to reassess the Ministry of War personnel. The "executives" should have military experience. Chu Zhao came up with his strategic plan with no input from the army heads. He might have book knowledge, but the book is old. Was it called The Art of War? Does Wei only have two armies, Fuyue and Xiao? Promoting someone because he delivered supplies and plays the flute? He did something to become Supervisor.

I agree. The writers made a list of casualties, and they picked his name. He might have died in the book, but the drama writers have been known to alter the original storyline.

The screenwriter and director also took out Yan He with an arrow in his arm. I can't believe they didn't remove it, but he might have bΔΊed to death. When they arrived, why didn't they summon a doctor immediately, and pull him off the horse? I guess He Yan all knew he was dying in a few minutes. He survived the ride.
