I just read on B station that Xuan Ye only appears very briefly in the flashbacks near the final episodes and has only about 30 min screen time. I don't know how they managed to know the 30 min but I sure do hope it's not true because I need 1-2 episodes of the parents' love story and our sexy Xuan Ye.

Pan Mei Ye is a really talented actress. Even though she has mostly played supporting characters but she always stands out in most of her roles + she plays very different types of characters. I especially love her portrayal of Qing Qing in the drama "Miss the Dragon". Her interpretation of this character, every little movement she had and every expression was so spot on. I really loved her acting in this drama. Not to mention she had an amazing chemistry with Deng Wei both on and off-screen.

I really hope she'll receive more roles and can continue to play lead roles soon. It would be awesome if she gets paired up with Deng Wei again because their chemistry is off the charts and there are already many fans who love their chemistry.

My fellow Deng Wei fan, you're totally not the only one ;P I took interest in this drama mainly because he's in this but when I did some research on this novel I realized that the story is quite interesting. Hope they won't change the details too much in the drama version.

Haha yeah, my profile pic really gives me away. I love both Deng Wei and Pan Mei Ye ;) I'm sure Deng Wei will have a bright future ahead of him. He's a newbie with lots of potential and seeing his recent projects, it seems that he keeps getting cast in big productions now which is good for him even if he's not the main lead yet. His time to be a main lead will come one day so I'm not worried about it. It's actually better for him to get more acting experience first in several dramas before he starts taking leading roles.

And yes, he plays two characters, Senior Brother is Xiao Lin's reincarnation but since this novel has many timelines so it might be a bit confusing to explain... The original Senior Brother was already deceased but thanks to female lead's change of history so in another timeline he is back alive again. But his character is so pitiful in the sense that he keeps getting dragged into the love triangle of the main leads and he suffers a lot as a result when he doesn't even love the female lead xD Poor boy.

Me too. Deng Wei is the one that I'm also looking forward to seeing in this drama the most. Loved him in "Miss the Dragon" so I've been following his news ever since.

About the loveline that he has. Him and the 2nd fl, Ye Bing Shang, are a married couple right from the beginning when this novel starts. Ye Xi Wu, the body that the fl takes over, was originally in love with Xiao Lin but since Li Su Su took over her body so she has no romantic feelings towards Xiao Lin. Deng Wei has two identities in this drama. The first one is Xiao Lin and the 2nd one is her Senior Brother. The female lead only regards both characters as a big brother whom she loves and respects like her real family. Xiao Lin is gentle and loving to his wife but sadly his wife in the novel isn't a good character. (They might change this in the drama though coz her character really wasn't likable at all in the novel). Sadly, Xiao Lin is later killed, and his wife Ye Bing Shang then marries the male lead. *face palm* I don't think his wife ever truly loved her 1st husband Xiao Lin to the point of dying for him or do any sacrifices for him. She mainly just wanted status and attention from men and was very jealous of her younger sister. Then we have Deng Wei as the Senior Brother, whom the female lead loves like her own biological big brother. Like Xiao Lin, he's very upright, skilled in martial arts and spells (he's a cultivator). A true hero who would sacrifice himself for the sake of greater good.

Yes, his character is a good guy for sure. Very upright, gentle and thinks about the people of his country (Xiao Lin is the 6th Prince). The love triangle isn't all that bad or I'm not even sure if it can be regarded as a love triangle since his character and the fl don't have romantic feelings towards each other. It's mainly the ml who misunderstands that the fl loves 2nd ml :D I can tell you briefly what will happen to him but it contains lots of spoilers so if you don't want to be spoiled then I won't write anything just in case I spoiled too much.

I think Deng Wei will be playing the role of the 2nd male lead Xiao Lin. I got so curious what kind of character he will play so in the past few days I did lots of research on his character coz I wanted to know what happens to him in the novel. I've got to say that appearance wise Deng Wei really fits the role :D

He's going to suffer all the slanders for a long time if his contract lasts until 2023. Omg, I can't even imagine how worse this will get. Huanrui is very bad as a company and they don't protect their artists at all. All I've seen since LAR is how bad press CY has gotten because of Huanrui's bad decisions and management. And yes, unfortunately Ms. Liu is still there. :(

All the different bloggers/melon masters say these are makeup photos for Agarwood Like Crumbs, however, we can't be 100% sure if that's true or not. We can only wait until the official announcement.

I'm so annoyed that his studio isn't doing much to stop the black marketing accounts that spread rumors about him. No wonder his fanclub and most of the fans want his studio replaced. I've got to say that the antis are very active in buying these black drafts about him. There are way too many nowadays which makes it frustrating and the agency and the production team does absolutely nothing to help him. Cheng Yi gets all the blame for everything. I wish he could sign with a better agency soon.

I'm not sure if it's edited or not so I didn't mention her name here just in case. The rumors and photos are all over weibo today but I'm still waiting for the official announcements. Cheng Yi got scolded again for this whole Huanrui fiasco so I'm getting tired of the antis using this chance to spread hate :D I hope they can start filming soon. I never expected this drama would create such huge backlash on Cheng Yi...

The makeup photos for the new fl got leaked AGAIN! I don't get how Huanrui manages to leak these photos every time... Are they doing it on purpose to create heat? Anyway, according to the rumors the filming should start around April.

I'm worried about this too because I've noticed many cpf keep insulting Cheng Yi's female leads and some even went as far as leaving hate comments on their weibo pages. I've also read many comments saying if the fl isn't the one they want (i.e. yby) then they won't watch Cheng Yi's dramas. This is why I prefer being a career fan only and not a cp fan (don't get me wrong, I love Si Feng and Xuan Ji a lot haha). I wouldn't want to miss Cheng Yi's dramas just because I don't like the fl or because I ship him with someone else. :D

As for Agarwood Like Crumbs' fl, I don't need her to be popular or pretty. All I wish for is that they manage to cast someone who has good acting skills. Youku even bought the distribution rights of this drama to be streamed on their site even before Agarwood Like Crumbs was even filmed so they really have high expectations for this drama and Cheng Yi.

I'm praying for that too because I can tell that huanrui doesn't treat/protect him well. I hope he won't open weibo these days and just focuses on studying the script which I think he most probably is doing anyway :D He'll prove with his acting skills and hard work. Praying for Agarwood Like Crumbs to boot soon and everything goes smoothly from there on. I'm fine with any fl tbh. As long as the acting is good then it's enough for me :)

He gets dragged into basically everything. I roll my eyes so hard every time I read about new accusations they make against him. He's the ml so they say it's his fault that Yu Mo isn't the ml, they think his styling looks similar to other actors (again they say it's his fault... I'm like since when are the actors costume designers?), the fl might change (they say it's his fault too xD). I'm rolling my eyes so hard while reading those posts. I don't even want to see those posts but they keep popping up when I'm looking for news about Cheng Yi. Those people keep tagging his name in everything. I just want Cheng Yi to start filming peacefully but it's only been a few days yet so much drama because of those marketing accounts bought by the antis to spread hate.

There are rumors saying that a big investor of this drama wanted a fl born in 90s. They also wanted to replace some LAR cast members too which were originally meant to star in this. I don't know how true this rumor is so take this with a grain of salt because who knows... Jing Tian might eventually still be in this... we never know until they announce fl. However, I suspect there might be something wrong internally with the production team since the opening ceremony keeps getting delayed. I hope they will announce it quickly because the antis are so active these days and are scolding Cheng Yi non-stop in everything related to this drama. As if he has any say in any of this. *sigh*

That's why many regard Yu Mo as the main lead coz he got the girl :D I think it's similar to Princess Agents case (In the novel everyone thought Yan Xun was the male lead at first but in the end he didn't get the girl) or Promise of Chang'an too maybe? I can't think of any good examples right now. :D

To be more exact, this thing about who is the real male lead in the novel is actually debatable because at the end of the day it all just depends on who you ask since some novel fans may think Yu Mo is the 2nd lead and Tang Zhou as the male lead. Both characters have equal amount of appearances but since Yu Mo ends up getting the girl so many readers regard him as the main protagonist. I know some fans who regard Ying Yuan /Tang Zhou as the 1st male lead but then I know others who disagree :D It's not as clear as in LAR.

I especially liked this one: "the Emperor with heavenly looks." Too true! I'm still not over his heavenly looks :D
