The ending implies he turned into butterfly while Qing Tong is still the original Qing Tong, just in spider form. But still.... this is too different from the original work that I still cannot process the ending. How can a production team mess up a show that was so amazing in the beginning into something like this? I'm impressed at producer Wang Yi Xu's productions.... I'll stay away from all his dramas from now on.

Actually, Qing tong did not die, she just turned back to her original form and with cultivation she can later get back her human form. Fugui gave her his last life force to keep her alive. This is how the Chinese viewers interpreted and so did I.

This whole writing after ep 18 left me quite speechless but as I promised to come back and tag you to share a hug so here I am. This story definitely deviated a lot from the donghua/manhua but I wasn't expecting much from this producer's works anyway...

I'm usually a silent reader. I don't comment much but I do read the comments and only comment once in a while. I've been so upset with the changes they've made haha Maybe I'd feel better if I hadn't seen the original work but since I did so I find the changes so OOC. They did a great job in the first 18 episodes but i don't know what happened later. It's like 2 different writers here. I don't think we're going to get a HE for this drama my friend. So far, they're not following the og story much with all this obsession/love triangle stuff.

They're butchering the story so much and it's going off-rail. All of this separation and Qing Cheng weren't in the original work. QT and Fugui were always together and didn't separate in their youth. At this rate I'm afraid we're really going to get that SE.

His character does not exist in the manhua or donghua. QC is a completely new character created for this drama. I don't know why we have to suffer through this when he did not even exist in the first place.

I guess they will announce and share the link in the morning on the official weibo page. I'm not sure if it's iQiyi exclusive link or will they also have weibo link but we'll know soon. I wish the official page informed everyone sooner though. Fans mainly know because we watched their livestream the other day.

They're promoting together on October 31. They said this in their previous livestream and Cheng Yi has already arrived in Beijing.

Nooo, don't scare me. If they're smart, this part should be HE because the story actually allows it to be HE. They don't need to explore until Fugui is in his later years but then again they finished filming this drama before the author of the manhua updated his story so unless he communicated this part of the story to the production team, there's still a chance of a SE. I'm a bit worried about that possibility.

I think this drama will follow the manhua route. The FL won't die, I'm pretty sure about that. They can't change it that much or else they will get scolded a lot. Qing Tong will be alive and safe until the end. As for Fugui, it really depends which route they took but I do hope they chose the HE one and end it there when he kills the clone of the black fox.

Fugui killed the clone of the black fox and brought it back to Wang Quan manor. They all thought it was the real black fox but sadly it was just a clone. Black fox came back again later. Hongye died of old age but he lived quite long though. He looked really old when he passed away.

It depends where they decide to stop the story. In the original manhua (comics version) Fugui and Qing Tong spent at least over 50 years together happily so if they decide to end the drama before Fugui is in his later years then it's a HE but if they decide to explore the story until many years later then it's SE. It depends which route they took so we need to see the end of this series to find out.

Actually, Wang Yi Xu (the producer of this drama) said before that he had consulted the original author of the manhua (comics version of this story) and the later parts of this drama will feature the storylines that haven't been made into donghua yet but will be added later.

This is a well known troll that has been posting similar comments for the past few years. We have called her out many times and even reported her. She disappeared for a while but has recently come back to troll on these pages and only talks about heat index, inciting hatred. She never posts about anything else. She has several accounts but she always gives herself away when she starts commenting. I suggest you guys just block or ignore her comments in the future.

Yes, Qiu Shui did not die in the novel so I was so sure he wouldn't die in the drama as well but boy was I wrong.
