I watched till ep 14 I think. It's good but I'm scared of continuing cos of the ending. I'm okay with tragic endings…
I spoiled myself by reading all the comments here and knew exactly how it would end. I had prepared myself and braced my heart but the tears still kept coming out. I don’t think I’ve ever cried like a baby like that due to a drama. My eyes honestly still hurt. But you know what, this is one of those “worth it” drama for me because I know there’s a happier sequel coming.
Binged 17-24 and completed. My initial comments didn’t changed. The drama was a bit slow from 1-10, I guessed…
I have to disagree with you. I think he’s stupid and selfish. That is not love, that is obsessiveness and possessiveness. He destroyed so many people’s lives because of his stupidity and selfishness. I don’t pity him one bit.
My very limited understanding of Chinese allows me to understand that ML was asked/assigned to another case and…
Ah yes. You must’ve missed that part. He was the informant for Interpol and Iron Sword was the undercover for the Lin Nan Police. Only later on when the official from Interpol came (I think ep 21?) and notified Captain Cao did the two organization joined hands.

I think he was an informant throughout the whole drama. He became an informant after seeing his mom died dealing drugs for his adopted dad. And at the end because everyone who knew he was an informant died, he just resumed his role as Ma Ye’s son and continued on. Hope that makes sense. Haha this is my deduction based on my limited knowledge of Chinese so I can be totally wrong here. Maybe when there’s subs we will know for sure.
Ep 2 and ....did she just go back to work and school after extracting two teeth??? That's so far from reality.…
As others have stated, it is not far fetch at all. It all depends on if they wisdom teeth are out of the gum and it's just a simple extraction to reduce crowding or if they're underneath the gum and needs surgery. I had 2 that my dentist were able to just extract with local anesthesia and then I went about my day, but I also had 2 that required me to be knocked out and performed by an oral surgeon. The latter one took me a day or two to recover, mostly from the anesthesia.
If anything, the part I found unrealistic was all the lipstick she wore but wasn't wiped off or even rubbed off on the tools. Hahah.
Fluffy drama with some sweet and funny moments but nothing super memory lasting. I enjoyed the stories of the two side couples more than the leads'. FL's teeth were just a big distraction for me.
Why is the rating so low on douban? I don't get what the Chinese fans want. Anyway, so far I really enjoy this drama and have watched up to ep 44 without any subs. I don't know why I watch dramas just to cry.
If a generous soul, understanding Chinese, can tell me what the ML says at the end of the drama (episode 24),…
My very limited understanding of Chinese allows me to understand that ML was asked/assigned to another case and he hopes that after he's done, he'll be able to see her again. He asked her to take care of herself and said that he'll leave his daughter in her hands now. He said he wanted to tell her something, but then just said "never mind" and said bye instead. I'd like to think he wanted to tell her he likes her but since he doesn't know when they'll see each other again, he doesn't want to give her any hope. It's a bittersweet ending for sure but I guess I'm satisfied he's alive and her cousin will also live.
I just finished watching this. I totally recommend this drama to anyone looking for some real intense breath holding moments. But if you're looking for lots of romance and sweet moments, then this is not it. The chemistry between the leads are great but romance is not what is drama is about. I thoroughly enjoyed this and finished watching the last 4 episodes without English subs cause I was that impatient. Zheng Ye Cheng is very good at picking roles that are interesting and captivating.
I totally understand from where you are coming from, especially ML. I think this is where this drama fails miserably.…
I totally agree with you and this relates to a comment I made before as well. I guess it would be hard for people who hasn’t been around autistic people to understand their characters and tendencies. I work with kids with special needs so for me, SNQ’s behaviours are very “typical” and it wasn’t hard for me to understand what he was going through. Therefore, I didn’t find his behaviours in the second half as problematic as some others have.
In her original novel, the 2 friends were not mentioned much. And they made some changes to the ML's family background.…
Oh wow. The novel sounds so much better than the drama. Guess they didn’t wanna make the drama too complicated cause they wanna keep the episodes down.
I've watched up to ep 14 and honestly, the two best friends' stories are more interesting to me than the ML & FL's. I'm only watching this for Bi WenJun but it is getting harder to keep interest. I've read the comments that the writer of this and Crush is the same but to me, Crush is definitely the better one of the two.
My eyes, heart, and head hurt from watching this drama but it was so worth it.
If anything, the part I found unrealistic was all the lipstick she wore but wasn't wiped off or even rubbed off on the tools. Hahah.
