this series (or rather WETV) is weird because i can watch it just fine on my desktop but i still can not find it on the mobile version app. also, does anyone know which language/dialect that they speak in this drama? is it cantonese? it doesn't sound like modern standardized mandarin but i'm not a chinese speaker so idk
I've watched it halfway on yt a few days ago and then suddenly it got blocked :( by any chance do you know the original platform where it was uploaded? Is it available internationally?
just started this and I need Ryan Cheng to play more Tyrant roles or the role he played in my journey to you.…
his team (if there's one) actually does a very great job in managing his career trajectory. less than five years ago he was still dealing in short dramas and small roles in full length drama. from a familiar stranger in 2022, and then second lead in my journey to you in 2023? talk about career leap! all he need to do is staying away from scandals and his career would be smooth sailing, imo.
i can't comment on the story yet. but i really like the styling (hair, make up, and costumes) in this drama. i love that they actually sleep in loose hair and loose clothing. anything else can be forgiven because of the fantasy-fusion elements. the existence of a random drag character also surprises me a lot (i haven't watched the donghua nor read the novel so idk if Mr Bei exists in those versions as well)
If i could watch dylan wang - qin lan's 20 years age gap in the rational life then i'm pretty sure i'll be able to watch this one just fine. People are usually wary about the grooming element of an age-gap related story so i guess let's hope this one would be able to handle it well.
I actually like that. It just adds as little bit of variation and makes me pay more attention to the scene. The…
Yup, it would be fine if it was used sparingly and intentionally, but i find it a bit too much here cause they use it even when characters are just casually talking or greeting each other. Sometimes i think they do it just to fit actors with different heights in the same close up frame lol.
I can tolerate anything else but the camera angle/framing; why does the camera director think it was a good idea to make certain scenes looks tilted? It makes me dizzy cause my head unconsciously follows the tilt lol.
Drama is meh. They tried so hard to push the SML that they kinda forgot they actually have a ML (I heard it was a schedulling issue or sth). I love the OSTs though, and occasionally still listen to them to this day.
The prime minister has shown his true colors too many times to still be allowed to be alive. The only reason he…
basically every secondary characters' reasoning; all those villains doing bad things for very flawed or at the very least questionable reasoning. like, sure, i can sympathize to their plea for justice to certain extent, but not to the point of justifying their behavior that ruin both kingdoms and everyone's life in it.
Solid enemies to lovers trope; I'm giving this 8/10 solely for the main couple that stays free of unnecessary misunderstanding and noble idiocy until the very end. Anything else is dumb, and i've been abusing the skip forward button combined with 1.5x speed after ep 25. The brothers talk in ep 34 was nice (ngl i cried a little bit). All in all, worth watching if you're a fan of the main leads. But even if you're not, like me, you can still find some fun elements from it.
the prolonged misunderstanding is killing me! seriously what is stopping him from explaining the situation to…
hi! sorry but as you might have seen i made that comment over 2 years ago ^^; I have watched so many things since then and i barely remember this drama anymore so i'm afraid i can't answer you on this
Wah, zhu li lan is definitely on my radar now. I randomly picked 3 short dramas to watch during the weekend and it just happened to be her dramas (Threads of Destiny, Spring Fever, and now this). I can't shake away the feeling that she reminds me of someone but i can't point out exactly. Maybe vicky zhao during My Fair Princess era?
this is pretty fun, and if i haven't watched this plot being repeated twenty times over in various vertical dramas i would've found this even more fun. nevertheless, this has the benefit of better acting and production value, so, not a bad watch overall.
side note: rebirth with groom swap should have it's own tag at this point
Tried to watch cuz they mentioned it in wow the world which was super fun but all they do is talking abt nothing…
this is objectively calmer compared to the previous two seasons that i've watched. they didn't encounter too many problems, planned the trip quite well, and even when they faced any unexpected situation, everyone was being quite easy going about it. it's relatively drama-free, so yeah, in a way this is more boring cause nothing too crazy happened during the trip.
EP5: It amazes me, the contrast between gong jun being one of the younger cast, the loud and silly rascal of the…
EP 6: Mumu is a great travel guide. But i had to laugh when wanyi went blank when he learned that they're overbudget XD. The shopping spree was quite fun too, and also highlight how these people are so kind to each other. Also that moment when wanyi and sichun was so proud after bargaining a 1200 pound drawing for 200 pounds, and then they heard that someone got it for 150; he immediately covered her ears lol. Very adorable.
