Someone doesnt know what satire or dark humor is. Also maybe dial back on the captions next time. This is a drama, not a movie btw.

The last 5-6 eps were very standard romcom imo.

Um...its not really supposed to be a romantic situation, no where in the description does it say that. I think you misinterpreted the premise they were going for. I do agree they should've replaced the romance tag with mystery since that was a bigger part of it.

And that's exactly what ended up happening? It's funny that you're complaining about there being no romance bc most people rated this drama really low bc they found the hostage falling in love with their captor situation really problematic.

The mystery could be amped up a little though, it was really lowkey these past eps. When they bought up the watch thing I was like "oh we're still doing that?"

In all seriousness, I agree with a lot of the analyses done below about Gojin's character and their dynamic. I think I was just disappointed with how they handled the make-over scene after showing Sina have so much spunk while shopping for clothes. Everything else I think is still following the satirical, dark-humored show I started out liking.

Agreed. I just could care less. The director Ma woman as well. I really hope this doesn't turn out like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon where there are a lot of funny scenes that are just there to be funny but contribute nothing to the plot.

Which episode are you on? I feel like everyone is liking it now but I'm the only one who went from spamming everyone with it to finding it cliche and overtried.

The previous rating was just unfair tbh; only 3 eps were out.
It went from a 10 to a 9.5 for me though but we'll see going forward.

I Picked Up A Star on the Road. If you thought this was problematic for some with Gojin's behavior in ep 9, the FL in that drama is a straight-up criminal (like literally lol).

I also dropped this. They can't have her dress like an average Jane and act like a kid after introducing the evil sister like that. Girl might be conniving but she has great fashion sense and an attitude. The female lead...is just there.

It's not bad. Just looks like something a grandma and a child would wear, which I guess at least makes her outfits versatile. Doesn't help that she acts like a child so the effect is enhanced.

This is how you know god has given up on us. I get enjoying what you like but an 8.5 for another cookie-cutter innocent FL transmigrates into a novel drama?

Right off the bat, the male lead had more chemistry with his half-sister than the female lead, who frankly dresses like a weird combination of a grandma and a child. And correct me if I'm wrong, this drama is trying to make fun of dumbass FL who dresses as an elementary school kid falls in love with the overbearing CEO plots while having a dumbass FL who dresses like an elementary school kid fall in love with an overbearing CEO?

There's literally no difference between her and the original FL. I hate deceptive dramas like this that think they're subverting tropes when they're just as cliche as every other drama in its genre.

There was also no reason to make the plot this complicated. Like why tf did they make introduce the ML with the evil sister as if they're the main leads. They're not even the characters in the book so there are two versions of each character? It has a 8.5 rating too. 😭

Same. I like BLs too, don't get me wrong but this one and SCOY are just not my cup of tea. Plan on watching them just bc of the side couple.

You can copy-paste this on every Thai drama and it would be the same. I just don't get your sudden energy to bring such a widespread issue onto this drama specifically.

Like I get your point BUT isn't every Thai drama very colorist? BLs do as well. In fact, all Asian dramas are that way. I agree it's a problem but it shouldn't fall on one person to take the burden nor should we be canceling one of the few GL dramas coming out when everyone does it.

Nah. thats what I thought of this drama at first but it's just shaping up to be a cliche. if the last two eps are anything to go by.
