What point did I miss? You said noone bats an eye when the villain blames Fugui, their best warrior. I said that it's not because they truly believe the villain but because the villain's words suit their interests. At least, that's my interpretation.

I'm gonna be honest, i might just drop this after episode 12, it hurt my brain so much. Imagine slimiest most…
It probably has to do with the fact that Wangquan Fugui has been literally raised as the alliance's "soldier". Besides his junior, Feng Tingyun, Grandpa Fei, and his dad, nobody else had any proper, significant interaction with him. Fugui's four "drivers" also don't really have much of a strong bond with him besides bringing him out for missions. The alliance sees Fugui as nothing but a tool. Even if he is, truthfully, their best warrior, in their eyes, he is merely a tool for them to use to eliminate demons (doing all the dirty work) and maintain the alliance's authority. The alliance elders probably don't see him as a person at all. Plus with the prophecy, all the alliance elders are worried about is their OWN interests. Since the prophecy hints at Fugui probably going rogue, they couldn't give a rat's ass about him and only care about their own interests. This is why they believe the "villain" more, it suits their own interests.

I also wondered if he was a demon and she was a human how things would've been?
Ooo that's interesting!

This is not exactly related to the show now but I was suddenly thinking what if Fugui was born as a daughter?? Is Hongye going to make her a "soldier"? Some random thoughts I have lol

Fox Spirit Matchmaker is actually from the original manhua and donghua. It's because the Tushan Fox Clan (the…
Unlikely to have modern world continuation for live action/drama because I think they already agreed which parts to be filmed when buying the rights to Fox Spirit Matchmaker IP. Also, Red Moon Pact and Love in Pavilion didn't do that well in China.

The modern world part is also more comedy haha

Everyone is mad and annoyed at Hongye, for his behaviour, for not showing love to his son and disappointing his…
Yeah honestly, I do understand Hongye. That kind of trauma is really insane and Hongye is the leader of Masked Group, he definitely blames himself so much more. Hongye also grew up in a broken family, lost his mom very early on and his dad went missing in his teens. Immediately after Fugui was born, his wife died. There's no way this guy with so much trauma and from a terribly broken family without his wife can be a good father. But I can see that he is trying his best in his own way to protect his son. I feel like he will come to a realisation that his way of protecting Fugui is wrong.

HAHA I think Quan Jingting is also a strong contender for that award!

Ken Chang (Wangquan Hongye's actor) jokingly said in the livestream that who says his parenting is bad! His son Fugui turned so well, so talented, so understanding of his father, and so kind. Yall are all misunderstanding Hongye. Wangquan Manor is definitely a good place. (All these are Ken Chang's words 🀣)

Cheng Yi: Yes, yes, yes 😊

Cheng Yi, Li Yitong, and Ken Chang did a short livestream today on iQiyi's weibo while watching ep 12! They discussed how difficult it was to film the 10000 swords scene. It was so difficult for Cheng Yi to move as he has so many fake swords attached on his body, slight movements cause pain. Li Yitong also mentioned that because Fugui had to move when being stabbed by the swords, sometimes those swords that are attached to CY would also press against her and she can't react because she's supposed to be unconscious in that scene.

CY and LYT are so awesome for giving us this scene πŸ₯Ίβ€οΈ

Does this get better at and after 13 episodes? I wonder to watch this/ whisper of fate. This drama has nicer songs…
I've only watched one ep of WoF and I have to say both dramas are really completely different, whether it's the ML's personality, the plot, the romance, the supporting characters or others. I would recommend to watch a few eps of each drama or some short clips to decide! It really depends on your preference.

Not yet, but Mobius is on my watchlist!! I plan to watch it in December, love BJT too hehe.

Right?! Cheng Yi can definitely do well in action scenes and his acting also! If he acts as an undercover cop, I'll be really interested hahaha

I just love Qingtong. I thought they would make her helpless and overly reliant on Fugui, but I'm so glad she's…
Yess I was so touched by that scene. Didn't expect to cry but I cried for Qing Tong. Her desperation and love for Fugui I could feel through the screen πŸ₯Ή LYT did so well!

Agreed with you! I actually want to see CY in a police drama like Dilireba in Sword Rose. I adore these kind of non-idol dramas ><

Can someone please explain why this drama series is called Fox Spirit Matchmaker, and why the fox demon queen…
Fox Spirit Matchmaker is actually from the original manhua and donghua. It's because the Tushan Fox Clan (the clan that FL of Red Moon Pact is from) are protectors of this Bitter-Love Tree. If a pair of human-demon lovers make a pledge of love to the Bitter-Love Tree, they will be connected in the afterlife and the demon will be able to find their human lover's reincarnation. The majority of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker manhua took place in the modern world so the storyline revolves around the demons trying to find their human lovers. The "historical (600 years ago)" part is what the three dramas (RMP, LiP, SaB) are showing.

This is why the series is called Fox Spirit Matchmaker. In a sense, the Tushan Clan are matchmakers I guess.

Relationship between the three series: Wangquan Fugui (ML of SaB) is the son of Wangquan Hongye and Dongfang Huaizhu (ML and FL of LiP). Fugui is also the cousin of Dongfang Yuechu (ML of RMP).

Wangquan Fugui is so cool!! The way he protected Qing Tong. The way he stood firm on his values and what he believes in. The way he respects both the strong and weak. I never expected Fugui to top my list of MLs but he is really number 1 in my list currently! Qing Tong is also such a unique character, she may be "weak" but she's also so strong. This couple is really topping my list 😩

I know most of you dislike the Father, but the way FuGui showed up, strode in the save QingTong was just like…
I don't dislike Hongye! I know his actions are quite terrible now, but actually he does not have much power in the Yi Qi Alliance. Because he is the leader of Wangquan clan and Yi Qi Alliance, others are constantly trying to bring him down and he can't protect his son like how a good father should. His position makes it difficult to protect his son but at the same time this position allows him to also protect his son in some way. I predict that if the drama decides to kill Hongye off, it'll be him finally protecting his son 😭 But I could be wrongg

Quan jingting Officially rose to become the most loathful villain of cdramas this year for me. I can't even look…
I really do get the hate too. I also yelled at my screen when Hongye stopped Fugui. But at the same time, I think that if Hongye didn't stop Fugui, the whole Yi Qi Alliance will use that as an excuse to kill him. Like Fugui will actually be a fugitive. Ofc this does not excuse Hongye's behaviour of not protecting his son from the 10000 swords 😀😀
