Fox Spirit Matchmaker is actually from the original manhua and donghua. It's because the Tushan Fox Clan (the clan that FL of Red Moon Pact is from) are protectors of this Bitter-Love Tree. If a pair of human-demon lovers make a pledge of love to the Bitter-Love Tree, they will be connected in the afterlife and the demon will be able to find their human lover's reincarnation. The majority of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker manhua took place in the modern world so the storyline revolves around the demons trying to find their human lovers. The "historical (600 years ago)" part is what the three dramas (RMP, LiP, SaB) are showing.


This is why the series is called Fox Spirit Matchmaker. In a sense, the Tushan Clan are matchmakers I guess.


Relationship between the three series: Wangquan Fugui (ML of SaB) is the son of Wangquan Hongye and Dongfang Huaizhu (ML and FL of LiP). Fugui is also the cousin of Dongfang Yuechu (ML of RMP).

Wangquan Fugui is so cool!! The way he protected Qing Tong. The way he stood firm on his values and what he believes in. The way he respects both the strong and weak. I never expected Fugui to top my list of MLs but he is really number 1 in my list currently! Qing Tong is also such a unique character, she may be "weak" but she's also so strong. This couple is really topping my list 😩

I don't dislike Hongye! I know his actions are quite terrible now, but actually he does not have much power in the Yi Qi Alliance. Because he is the leader of Wangquan clan and Yi Qi Alliance, others are constantly trying to bring him down and he can't protect his son like how a good father should. His position makes it difficult to protect his son but at the same time this position allows him to also protect his son in some way. I predict that if the drama decides to kill Hongye off, it'll be him finally protecting his son 😭 But I could be wrongg

I really do get the hate too. I also yelled at my screen when Hongye stopped Fugui. But at the same time, I think that if Hongye didn't stop Fugui, the whole Yi Qi Alliance will use that as an excuse to kill him. Like Fugui will actually be a fugitive. Ofc this does not excuse Hongye's behaviour of not protecting his son from the 10000 swords 😤😤

I don't think the current one is being sabotaged. It's just that nowadays this kind of genre are not as popular. People want to watch intense and fast romances with lots of romance scenes between leads which is why strong romance dramas with strong CP promotion are doing better. In China, with the introduction of "short dramas", they are fewer viewers for long dramas. This is a well known fact.

SaB is still widely praised for having good dialouge, good life lessons, and good characters by cnetz. As long as ppl are enjoying it, we shouldn't worry too much!

CY wants to leave HR who has been mistreating him for years and HR is trying to destroy him. JoL is a Huan Rui production. Anyways, since they are sabotaging him so much, he probably was firm in his decision to not sign the renewal contract. As a fan, this is good news.

I find this funny. Among so many actors and actresses in the industry, yall are so fixated on Cheng Yi? How many actors/actresses out there constantly have nationwide succrssful dramas one after another? I love so many actors amd actresses besides CY and none have that kind of success. Since yall keep narrowing down on CY and credits a drama's success or failure to him only instead of the supporting actors too, the director, the producer, editor, scriptwriter, other staff, it means that he really is famous then. About scripts, you don't have to worry, he has plenty to choose from and if he doesn't, there's no need to keep staying in the rat race and film dramas every few months.

Do you think they choose someone just because the person's fans are more and their voices are louder? 15 Days Between Two Capitals is a script adapted from an extremely well known author's book. The director is also a very recognised one. They don't just choose the actor because he wins some Weibo male god awards, please be real.

I'm actually not sure. He and Dongfang Yuechu defeated the black fox iirc, but I'm not sure what happened to him afterwards.
