Unfortunately, no. It's quite high budget but the production doesn't quite reflect it. I don't know where the money went to :/ The production did not even spent money on hiring a promotion company.
We have not actually seen him yet, but he has appeared in a flashback scene. He's the strongest person in Jianghu back then (and maybe even currently). He fought against the Bei Huang (enemies) before for the country. He possesses the Heartvoid Codex, a very powerful martial arts manual.
^This is what I remembered about him so far, not sure if I got anything wrong.
I'm glad that everyone is paying more attention when watching the drama >< Reading yall comments made me realised I did missed out on some foreshadowing and it really helps to understand the show better with everyone's interpretations!
Third type is 2nd bro, who does nothing upfront, go with the flow and seems to have no opinion.. But probably…
That's some great observations! Indeed, 2nd brother's expressions sometimes are kind of out of place. It feels like he is purposely acting like a fool and a "follower" who knows nothing so that noone suspects him. HMMMMM guess we'll see soon.
My interpretation is that the novel is actually a parallel world (like multiverse). Xiao Qiushui and Xiao Mingming…
I'm sorry 😭 I'm not that active on MDL usually and actually I don't really know how things work here. I just wanted to give some supportive comments and discuss the plot (because the initial hate was so strong). But thank you for the reminder!
Whose bright idea was it to call this The Journey of Legend? Because honestly, it feels more like a path to becoming…
Hmm I do understand your point, but humans are not robots. There's no "standard normal" way to react. Different people will react differently in various situations, especially stressful, traumatising ones. Again, a traumatising situation is perceived differently by different people. Personally, my family doesn't use "fists" to settle issues, but I do understand that some do, so it might be a hard watch for people who do things differently.
Omg it's getting better! I was seriously getting tired of the previous arc with those two brothers 😂😭Anyways,…
My interpretation is that the novel is actually a parallel world (like multiverse). Xiao Qiushui and Xiao Mingming are the same soul/essence but in different worlds! I believe every character in the "novel" is real because it's actually just another world.
Yeahh it's quite sus we don't get to see the parents. There gotta be a reason for that hmmm
I just want to say that there are TWO types of people when tragedy befalls on them. You have Xiao Qiushui who blames himself for the tragedy (technically, he does have some reason to blame himself). If LSF wasn't trusted by him and brought into the Xiao Family, Old Madame Wu and the Hero Token may not have be found thaaat quickly, like Old Madame Wu was already preparing to depart. Anyways, the second type of person is Xiao Yiren, who blames everything and anything on others, but never himself. This dude is blind to his own shortcomings.
Honestly, if I put myself in this world, I feel like I'll belong to the first type. As viewers now, it's easy to see how ridiculous Xiao Yiren's behaviour is or maybe even how frustrating Xiao Qiushui's self-blame is, but I actually do understand them. At least Qiushui is picking himself back up! Different people have different ways of reacting to situations. I wonder if there's a third type 🤔
I've always suspected that the dagger was connected to the hero token, and it turned out to be correct.I also…
Yesss exactly!! I'm a more emotional person so I could really empathise with Qiushui. This drama isn't just some oh MC is OP and smacks down all the bad guys. This drama is really about righteousness and chivalry like you mentioned! It's to show us that in a world where power and benefit (cue the Power Gang) is more emphasised on, righteousness will still prevail (hopefully hahaha).
I'm really curious about one thing... Liu suifeng has seen li chen zhou's face.... Didn't he find it strange that…
LSF did mention about the similarity in the earlier episodes! But for the reason why he isn't shocked may be because there's a saying in Jianghu that the Jianghu is so wide, you can meet all sorts of different people (even people that may look like each other).
I want to say something about liu sifeng I don’t think he’s at fault or a villain either his family were also…
Yes I do feel bad for him too and don't think of him as an actual villain. However, he did do quite a lot of bad stuff for revenge and trying to find the truth behind his family's downfall. I don't mind if he really destroys the evil people behind his family's downfall, but he even drags innocent people into the mess. If XQS's father is innocent, he basically have destroyed the whole Huanhua Sect for nothing (unless it wasn't him that killed them, but even so he did contributed).
Regarding the blame part, Liu Suifeng does not have any reason to blame himself for it. His Baicao Valley was destroyed because of the marching pills and the bad people who covet the pills I think. So his family was framed by bad people, saying that his family worked with the country's enemies (Bei Huang).
Xiao Qiushui, however, blamed himself because he trusted Liu Suifeng (as Feng Lang) and brought him into his house, introducing him to his family. Xiao Qiushui believes that because of him trusting Liu Suifeng, the Power Gang was able to know about the Hero Token and Old Madame Wu. The Sword Manor can only be opened from the inside, it may be that the parents opened the door for Liu Suifeng, thinking that he is XQS's friend and ally.
The comment sections really like chengyi full biased fanpage than a drama page. Well, I expected to find neutral…
Huh? Let me ask you, what is considered a "neutral" review? So far whenever someone asks if this drama is good, most of us here will ask the person to watch it for themselves and share what we personally think. I'm a Cheng Yi fan, but I dropped some of his dramas including Love & Redemption, South Wind Knows etc. I don't force myself to watch a drama if I don't like it. I'm also a fan of many other actors and actresses like Esther Yu, Bai Lu, Tan Jianci, but I don't force myself to watch all their dramas if I don't like the plot/genre.
So far this drama is engaging to me because I like Wuxia and I also like it when there's a lot of mysteries to uncover in the plot. I also love growth dramas. However, everyone has their own preferences, some people prefer looking at actors/actresses faces more, some people prefer aesthetic scenes more, some people prefer romance plot more etc. I would recommend you watch the trailer to see if it's your kind of show.

Or who knows, maybe there's some connection?
