The way Jae Won handled his closure with Eun Ji was fine. He was cool, detached, elegant and adult. But Ji Hyun's apologia for her in the party did not make any sense. He did not do anything to apologize for, on the contrary, she should beg him and everyone else ar ound toforgive her appalling behaviour and nastiness.

How did Tae Hyung feel bad for what he did? He apologized for the disciplinary action only, and very reluctantly so, after babbling that he should have charged Jae Won for his hospital bills. He did not apologize for his vicious mocking and tasteless joking about Ji Hyun's accident or possible death, nor did he apologize for the way he always talked Jae Won down. Jae Won said Tae Hyung did not wear a mask, well that is not true. His friendship with Jae Won was a total mask. Tae Hyung has never been his friend. He was clinging on to Jae Won because of his money and background while he constantly made malicious remarks on him being where he is just because his father. He was jealous of Jae Won and he could not wait to stab him in the back with a disciplinary procedure. He basically provoked him, because he wanted to see Jae Won fall. The perfect way to show Jae Won's leaving his mask behind would have been to tell him he has always been a fake friend and a horrible person at least.

This everyone-feel-good finale was highly inconsistent with the serious tone of the previous episodes. Not only the redemption arc of Eun Ji and Tae Hyung Hyung were forced, but so was the sudden pairing of Yoon Won and Joon Pyo out of nowhere as well as the unexpected reopening of the surf club (which was just as unlikely as disbanding it).

I really loved this series but these all felt like the very Asian insistence not to leave any anatagonists being anatagonists at the end, and cheer up everyone concerned from wall to wall.

I just love that Kiao and Bamee do not make a fuss about being from two different times and they still love each other regardless. Cooper and Marc have never been more likable than they are here.

Not to mention it is clearly a slow-burning romance and we have just passed two episodes out of 12, and they currently have a conflict. This entire "gimmearomancerightnow!" tantrum is extremely childish.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, but the last two episodes were a bit of let-down and too didactic. As much as I am happy for them, the problems were solved a bit too easily, the villain and villainess got their redemption too easily, and it was generally too concerned to make everyone happy by the end.

They never hated each other. On the contrary, they have been attracted to each other since day one. They do have a conflict now but that is anything but hate.

The show creators thankfully do not give a flying fuck about them, though.

I like Yutaro as well, and I think he is a cute guy with an off-beat, slightly grumpy persona. To each their own though, but the idea that Kondo Shori apparently should only be paired up with a Ken doll, due to his physical attributes, is not really the sign of deep mindset, to put it mildly.

Seriously how is it possible not to comprehend that Mahiro had a loving friendship with Ichiro's grandmother, and after he encouraged Ichiro to try cooking for the first time, when he learned he had ordered vegetables once more, he thought Ichiro has now decided to go on a cooking trip in the footsteps of his grandma, and when it turned out he only ordered food as an excuse, Mahiro was disappointed. That is why he was pissed, not because Ichiro did not cherish the food "for him". Also Ichiro did not visit his grandma, because he was workaholic. It was clear in episode 1 already, but this video call scene in episode 2 made it even more clear. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to get this.

I have decided to make tamagoyaki since Cherry Magic and I proudly proclaim I have made it several times. Although I needed that special oblong-sized frying pan I have managed to obtain. I could not find nori to put in here so far, but I used some veggies. I know they often make it sweet, but I don’t think I could eat it that way. Mine is salty.

Our Dining Table and this one are both very character-driven and apparently they are both too much to grasp for some, especially those watching BL for making them horny. Both have very quiet yet compelling and heart-warming narrative. I am extremely touched by both.

Another episode with a lovely mix of comedy and heartfelt sentiments, and both Yutaro and Kondo Shori in top acting form. And really good English subs again. The double entendre convos with "stripped" and "bare" at the initial office scene were hilarious.

Looking at some of the comments, character-driven dramas are apparently too much for some. Not that I am surprised at MDL (once again).
