Once again I cannot decide whether to laugh or cry at MDL kindergarten comment section.
The quality of this show is not consistently good and it is understandably devisive, but good lord, people being pissed because a mystery series that is meant to be confusing and puzzling by default apparently confuses and puzzles?
Are you also pissed when action movies are violent? Are you pissed at Agatha Christie for not kowing who the killer is after 3 pages? Facepalm.
For a low-budget production it is actually quite polished and slick, the pace is good, the cast is able and the narrative is quite interesting so far. Nothing groundbreaking but enjoyable.
I am n ot sure it is always up to the service provider. Kinn Porsche and Dear Doctor were airing there and they had decent subs. This is an AisPlay production and they usually provide the subs for their shows. Gaga subs are not always bad. For Smeantic Errot for instance, they had better subs than Viki.
They were both drinking at the party, but Uea was more drunk, at least that is how it seemed to be presented.…
This air balloon pealing bullshitting is getting increasingly tiresome.
There is a clear difference between intoxication and incapacitation and you don't have to be a Noble prize-winning brain surgeon to know which is which. If someone is capable to hold a lucid and meaningful conversation and not only initiates sex, but subsequently actively participates in a sexual intercourse, then they are conscious and absolutely capable to give consent. They know what they are doing. End of the story. The rest is pure gaslighting.
If you are "reckless" and "cautious" enough to have consensual drunk sex with someone you are attracted to but from whom you have refrained so far, then you were SEDUCED (or you became the seductor, just like in this case). It has fuck all to do with consent/non consent. If you regret your decision the day after, it does not make a consensual sex non-consensual retroactively. All adults should know this, but I am getting gradually convinced I am arguing with 12 years old schoolgirls on this board in 90%.
Your last paragraph tells how much you don't get the essence, how twisted your logic is and how you look at the proceedings totally upside down. If you decide to give yourself to someone in a drunk but conscious state, you cannot blame the other person for accepting the offer. What is both hilarious and sad when tight-arsed puritans try to twist, make leaps and bounds forward with crystal clear situations like this to transform it into non-consent only to give themselves a room for virtue signalling. Nothing is more harmful to real rape victims, and nothing diminishes their trauma more effectively than this, just saying.
I was just trying to watch this for some mild entertainment, nothing too exciting, but it's hard as hell to find.…
No great shakes, but it is not a bad one, I enjoy it on a moderate level. But the company is a mess, they seemingly cannot get their shit together in terms of streaming rights.
I'm whining because nothing is happening. World is ending but people act like it isn't and are wasting their time…
I don't know where did you get the idea that this is my favourite show. I happen to like it and it is a decent crafstmanship with solid acting, for sure, but I have never said it is my fave.
It is the phenomenon I have the problem with that BL fangirls make tantrum when a BL series is not just about the MLs all around, then start skipping when side characters arrive (Who btw have important addition to the proceedings of the MLs as well), and when as a direct consequence of this things do not make sense they start shitting on a plot they do not even watch properly. And yeah, that is immature.
The idol's death and Ritsu's apparent death wish seem to be related, at least it is strongly hinted, yet you say you did not find it interesting. What can I say to that? The entire series is about how the characters reflect, look back on themselves and revalue their lives in a turbulent situation like this - as it was already pointed out to you by somebody else above - yet you demand god knows what they should do as the end of the world approaching, like running up and down hysterycally? You simply don't understand the plot, but that is really not the fault of the script.
I have no problem with sensible criticism and valid counter-arguments, but you have neither. Don't flatter yourself, you are not enough to make me angry. Exhausted at worst.

I tell you a secret. If something immature is done by loads of others it does not make it any less immature. You know 'Eat shit because fifty billion flies can't be wrong.'
I asked a question, you replied, and your response made it clear you don't understand the narrative and you wanna buy what this show has no intention to sell. So you kind of proved my point, thanks.
For instance, episode 5 more than hinted that the death of Meguru's pop idol sister has something to do with Ritsu as well as Yuma's assumed supernatural capabilities might change the outcome we have suspected so far. But to know these of yourse one has to watch it properly.
And in all honesty, if you cannot sit through 24 minutes running time without skipping, you'd probably better to stick to TikTok videos.

A lot are happening, This sort of thing is called character-driven drama but judging from the extremely clueless comments you have sprinkled here it is clear that you don't understand what you are watching. I don't know what is more immature, skipping scenes or subsequently wondering you don't know shit. From episode 5 and 6 it is obvious the new characters are essential for the narrative.
Here we are again. When it is not their "babies" from wall to wall in each episode, the moanfest starts.
Episode 4 was an important introduction of Masumi's past as well as an interesting insight into how Ritsu was apparently his soulmate and emotional support before ending on bad terms, it also created opportunity for character development as in the present Ritsu kind of makes self-sacrifice - apparently out of pure care - in order to stop Masumi from doing he does not want to but feels his duty to do.
Episode 5 introduces not only a very intersting new character but an exciting new dynamic between Meguru and Yuma. It is also blatantly obvious that Meguru's arrival is a key moment to get to know something about Ritsu's past, as they are clearly connected.
Those who read the manga pls do NOT spoil me the ending but from what Yuma the Miracle Boy seems to be capable of I began to doubt this stroy end the way I thought it will when it started.
How in the world are MBM 2 and Never Let Me Go both 8.2??? This is ridiculous. MBM is clearly superior from the…
I am less harsh on NLMG than the majority, and I think it is a flawed but enjoyable show getting unjust hatred by the usual MDL peer pressure and people jumping on the bandwagon and trying to bid on each other via trashing matches, but it is clearly inferior to MBM (1 and 2 alike).
Another display of why MDL ratings are to be neglected. The first season of MBM was 8.3 at its peak, now it is on 7.8 becasue the purist knackle-draggers could not stand a show with such flawed and weirdo leads being so popular and highly rated, so they came in herds to donwvote it. The same old shit was happening to many others. Seriously a site where the Pornographer is at 7.2 ? Spare me.
I just started watching it with portuguese subs (I'm from Brazil) and the series is pretty good. Honestly don't…
It is fun but there are some wildly improbable details. The entire loan shark plotline was so remote from reality, especially the way the head of the maffia having such a huge crush on Ai - apparently out of nowhere - that he was willing to let Ohm's debt go if Ai became his boyfriend.
