Once again a lovely, heartwarming and affectionate little story, nicely played and with careful attention to period detail. This is a thoroughtly decent little compendium that gets better and better with each episode.

JFC. Cannot just once we live without numbingly paranoid and hysterical assumptions like "they hate gay people" and "hate crime on gay people" just because of a bad script choice? Asian dramas, gay or straight, are full of ill-thought out conflicts and cliffhangers, ffs.

I don't mind cliffhangers if another season is in the air, but this made no sense. They could have come up with a more realistic conflict than this. Hiding his son from his husband literally has no purpose, especially since Jerry knows Damian was married.

Jin Yu Zhen probaby has a contractual prerogative for Liao Wei Po's room in particular. But why he had to be such a complete arsehole to kick him out in the middle of the night is beyond me. I get they wanted to create a situation where Liao Wei Po moves in with Yi Zi Tong (a possible second couple), but there might have been other ways to do that.

Jin Yu Zhen is a dickhead so far, but he obviously has issues and he clearly has a story as well. Quite snappy and amusing so far in its traditional romcom way.

To me he was not child-like at all, more of an innocent and shy virgin boy type, an as such, to me a turn on of the first order.

I have enjoyed this show a lot, for sure, but that is definitley not what I have defended here in this particular case. What I called out were some typical prejudiced stance I find unaccaptable, and these are pretty much irrespective of this show. I do that whenever I see one, so did I under the Thai series Brothers, for example, when I saw similar remarks there.

If it creeps you out, that is your problem, and as it was suggested below, perhaps you need to find a doctor in this case. I don't find any creepy about a 12 year-old boy being sexually attracted to an adult guy, it is extremely common for gay boys having sexual awakenings that early. It is not illegal - what a weird thing to say, they did not have sex back then.
Considering this show is tremendous international success and has a reasonably positive rating here as well, the majority seems to think it was neither too much nor not enough. So again, it is you who need to take a chill, we are not having meltdown, thanks.

I wonder what these folks would say to Porsch Apiwat Apiwatsayree (45) from Together with Me who has been in a happy relationship with his partner Sappanyoo Arm Panatkool (34) 11 years his junior for 13 years now, and they have even legally married in Paris. But looking at the pictures of them, to me the real-life boyfriend of Bruce Sirikorn Kananurak (Aoey from Lovely Writer) seems to be older than him with a decade or so too.

This age gap grudge alternately gives me shudders and chuckles. The same old was around when HIStory: Right or Wrong was airing.

And they claim to wanna see realistic LGBT representation in BLs, Christ on a bike. Haven't they realized how common it is in the gay scene that guys in their early 20s are exclusively attracted to the more mature age groups like 30s and over? I have had several bfs/lovers who told me they could not even be turned on/have a hard one for guys of the same age. (Poor Damian and Jerry from Papa & Daddy have gotten away with it so far, but I don't wanna give them ideas).

Yet, if they think it is ok for straight 30s guys to date straight 20s girls, but it is not allowed for gays, it is a variation on homophopbia.

Not-blood related adults, whose parents once married, cannot fall in love, because you disapprove.
You give timetable for them and their parents when and how they should get to know each other to meet your criteria, if thely plan and dare to be together at all.
People with age gap cannot marry becasue you disapprove.
And you have the guts to define what LEGAL is in terms of relationships.

Seriously someone with such a malignant, prejudiced, judgemental mindset that is worse than that of the filthiest of homophobes, and obviously being much closer to christian fundamentalism, why do you watch BL at all? Wasn't Pat Robertson's channel available?

He is one of the most interesting, complex, multi-dimensional characters I have ever seen in BLs. Extremely human for all his flaws of which he has been entirely clear about. He does not play by the rules, as Xing Si said, but he always does what he does beacuse he thinks that is the best for everyone - whether he is right about this is another matter. He never harms anybody. The only exception was when he hit Mu Ren in the streets, but that clearly happened in a moment when he was in a particularly unstable state, and he lost his mind. And probly when he showed the video to his father, but even then he did not mean to hurt him.

As for the hatred he gets, it is just the plain demonstration and proof how shallow, intolerant, bigoted the SJWs of BL fandom are. And they claim to be rooting for equality of love, my arse. They are just just as prejudiced, judgemental and vindictive as the worst homophobes.

I honesty don't grasp the pearl-clutching, hatred and outrage the Mon-Team couple get. The story was no great shakes and it was draggy, but that basically goes for the entire show. I think they were cute and I found their love scenes very sexy. I also do not share the fascination about the Thurs-Pao/Pae episode either. Yes, the second part was enjoyable, engaging and sometimes even touching for me as well, but the first - especially the seance scenes and the convo in the class room - was so camp and cringey it bit my eyes and ears.

It seems that needs to be clarified once more. I hope Solipsism5 does not mind quoting him from below, but he nailed it perfectly:
