The plot is not something new for this genre. It was well made but somehow I feel this drama a little bit boring. Maybe because there is no surprised. 6/10
If you wanna learn about Tuna research then this is good. I like that part
But character wise .... nope. The side characters are far more interesting then the lead. They should just made them into co-lead group characters. The lead, the main girl is the usual annoying girl that her good thing is being cheerful with determination but lack in every other aspect.
The rating is misleading. This one shot drama is far more superior than majority of the serial investigation Jdrama out there. There is only 2 eps for this SP and each ep has it owns case. The culprits of each case kinda given since the beginning but i couldn't think of their motives. Also I really like the support characters. They have their own charms, each of them. Also the comedy is well made. maybe it is because it only has 2 eps, it didn't end up being a stagnant drama like most of serialize investigation comedy drama. 8/10
Being a 1 shot drama everytime, Doctor Y manages to overcome the curse of Season Serial drama like Doctor X. Doctor X becomes boring after repeating the same thing over and over again after 3 seasons. Doctor Y doesn't have the same mold of repeating the same troupe over and over again. I was laughing so hard at some of the jokes from this drama. 8/10
The plot is a bit generic. Men become Cabin Crew. Then they introduced the 4 male characters with Interesting characterization. At first it looks like going to be a good drama. But toward the middle, the plot turns into generic boring storyline where they only focus on the main character who is kinda boring and generic and the other 3 characters plots are just written in surface depth and adding that boring female pilot plot for the MC love interest making this more boring and generic. 6/10
This drama features a lot of characters 1 - A man who is confident in himself but lack of talents. All he has is tenacity and effort with an attitude that think everything is revolved around him which makes him a bit cocky. He really thinks he is on par with those talented people. 2 - A snobbish girl that has exceptional talent in painting 3 - Another snobbish girl who knows she is pretty so she doesn't care being arrogant as model and human. 4 - A girl who is average in every aspect but secretly jealous at people who is more talented of her. - and so many side characters with their own attitudes.
My problem with these characterization is they are not being done all the way. Every character has a soft spot but they lack of charm. This is very common in Japanese drama which I kinda over them. So 5/10
On paper this looks like going to be a wholesome plot. But in reality a story of a single person going for single camping is boring. The story has two main characters, a male who likes to eat canned food and a female who like to eat whatever she can find during her camping. They never meet though. So their stories are in alternate episodes. What I can say from watching this is single people who like to camp can be a little snobbish because they dont want to be around others but because they had to sometimes, they have to act nice. It is what the drama is portraying but I dont think it is necessarily true. 5/10
I wonder if people really find this drama great or they just caught in Dean x Iwata bromance because I just finished this and it sure didn't live up the hype in the comments.
I have watched a lot of these Sherlock interpretation remake. From BBC version to Elementary to Miss Sherlock. I would say every one of them including this have their own flare. But just like Miss Sherlock, I found the cases really basic and predictable. It feels like Japan has exhausted their mystery plots to the point they cannot come with a good one anymore.
And the banter between them ... yeah, have seen it so many times. Like I know Watson supposed to be useless but Japanese version often lack the charming Martin Freeman or usefulness Lucy Liu version. This version feels like they are relying on Iwata visual to sell Wakamiya
And there is something missing in the last ep for me. 6.5/10
Kuwano is still Kuwano. Lol. Was it better than season 1? not really but this is not disappointing either. Still enjoy this a lot. They sure like to make open ending. maybe in another 13 years we gonna get another sequel... 8/10
Okay. This BL is trying but it is not giving at all. The internship plot. Falling in love with co-intern, co-worker, senior, boss etc is kinda overdone by now but they can be good if the storyline is good. But the storyline is as generic as any Thai BL could be. The most interesting plot is Salin's dream but it ended up being a generic side plot.
And the CPs? Sun x Lin -> generic Sam x Yo -> where is the plot? Prim x Pim -> both cannot act and lesbian CP in Thai BL is always so unnatural Chan x Juladis -> They were just tool for the main characters to use for blackmailing. After that they were discarded like garbage

This drama - Has unique plot, Well executed & Great acting overall but lack of intimacy and has annoying girl hogging screen time on latter half = average BL, not BL enough, should be labeled as bromance ended up being rate below 8.
while BL that have - Simple plot, meh acting, boring pace but have cute leads, just being cute all the times, red flag attitude hiding behind CUTE will get a 10
tbh, i found people rating this 8 is normal. But rating a drama 10 just for being CUTE is ...
The drama actually started really good. But halfway through when Kaoru came into the picture, our lead dynamic somehow fade a little bit. Like how Ishida suddenly found his calling after going to Kaoru's exhibition. Like that is a turn of event. 7/10

OMG. finally somebody has same opinion as mine and gave same rating too. I said the same thing in my comment how Taishin is basically a stalker and people wont admit it just because he is cute and I was accused of spreading hate. I also hate the double standard how the uncle in the bus was called a creepy stalker by these people just because he is old, ugly and Taishin was scared of him. But it is okay for Taishin because he is cute, naive and harmless to Takara.
I only heard about bad thing regarding this drama. So I was already in my head that this will be either very mid or very stupid
The first 4 eps, yeah. The FL is ex-mania that have illusion of his ex as perfect bf. And when they finally met again in reality, she is convincing herself the reality and imaginary ML is 2 separate entity. The story keeps cycling in same circle. And then she found another ex-mania comrade, one after another. After 4 eps, I was ready to accept we gonna have them circling same cycle of event again and again.
To my surprised, halfway through, they actually move on from that cycle. So it becomes watchable for me. Like any other Jdrama during this era, the romance as dried as dried tuna. Still im just happy they going out from that cycle even though the plot of them trying to move on is ... rough to watch. It was decent in the end for me. 6/10
Why are continuing to watch 'the worst drama'? Stop watching this and go watch something you enjoy.
Just because something is bad doesn't mean you have to stop watching it. Some people have hope the drama will get better that is why they continue watching. Some people will continue watching because they have a habit to finish everything they started. Some people like to review drama regardless it is bad or good and so on.
This alongside Takara To Amagi are among the worst JBLs.
If only visual could sell, then this drama win. But the plot is a BIG MEH. The other Takara, the leads cannot act to save the drama. In this Takara, the lead characters characterization especially Taishin are MEH
People are calling Taishin overprotected naive character but naive? yes. Overprotected? Hell no. His family never shield him from anything. You want overprotected character? watch a non-BL Jdrama called Kahogo no Kahoko. That is what definition of overprotected.
Taishin is basically a stalker. He stalked Takara to the point he went to the same Uni. Joining the same club. THE ONLY REASON some people dont want to admit that because he is cute and naive.
Also the pace of this drama makes me sleepy. They are talking too slow. so 4/10
This drama started great. first 3 eps, I was so into it. then from ep4 till last ep, it was a spiral of messy unnecessary plot with draggy story telling. I was bored and just hoping it ends. The only good thing coming from this drama is the leads are cute. That is all. 4.5/10
