Alright story number 3 kinda weirded me out with 1 scene of the crazy woman in the forest. The rest has been nice to watch. All stories have their own feeling but carry a melancholic feel overall. The scenes are usually quite slow but luckily they filmed in a goodlooking environment with the sea often being in a lingering camera-shot.
This movie will come for your emotions. Its a great movie to see but very sad too... Only other movie that made me feel this way was ''My Way (2011)''.
They only give the license to Taiwan to show this drama outside Japan but it just blows up in China because of…
Yeah not too surprised about that one. China has a huge market for BL since they can't make any of it themselves anymore due to censors. I think the ''cancel culture'' in China is a bit too strict though. If you're gonna be too strict with actors then you end up not being able to watch anything. Also those people are complaining about the actors while watching pirated content in a country that bans that sort of stuff.
Nakatsu favorite boy all the way, theres no doubt in my mind. Man they really went a bit far with the male tsundere stereotype for Sano.
I knew the actor from another drama (nobunaga concerto) where he was a very lively character. Here Sato just stands out for being the only character who has to be moody most of the time and a bit more fun suits the actor so much better. It's all fine though, the male tsundere was just a very popular type back then. I love the humour though, early 2010s Japanese highschool drama humour is something not everyone can like but I love the chaos and randomness. The dog was also cute.
Really makes you rethink your own safety as any woman could fall victim. Its a fear and feeling of lack of power that isn't easily shaken. I will never watch this again but I am thankful that they tell the story of women who go through this. Freedom isn't something to take for granted in this world.
Couldn't find the movie but watched a review of it which showed some scenes. Its just a little reminder that the real world is still aweful because these sorts of human trafficking practices are still there.
I thought China was still strict with censoring gay movies? How are they gonna get this released when Chinese series convert every gay relationship nowadays into bromance?
I watched it on Youtube. It does feature some homophobic actions (like violence) from Carlo and that could be a reason for some people to avoid this one. I wasn't a fan of the ending but the overall story was okay, don't expect the movie to be too serious. Sam is such a wholesome character though, he was great to watch in comparison to the toxic Carlo.
