The FL maintaining the feminine look while cross-dressed is essential for male viewers ok?
This drama is basically a reverse harem (multiple guys and 1 female) so I doubt they'll make major considerations for the male audience in this case. Considering that reverse harems are usually more popular with a female audience.
The real problem is likely similar yet much more severe as in Korea. Which basically means that even accidental confusion about whether its a gay relationship from the viewers must be avoided by the producers.

This feels like an ancient place considering the few comments here are almost a decade old. The users from the most recent discussion here (8 years ago) have both long left MDL.

Im honestly just here to see that poor dog reunited with the male lead. I honestly didn't think this was going to be as big of a part of this drama as it has become. They tease the viewer with it too a lot of the time, so close yet so far away.

Liked the series overall however.... That final episode where Khett kisses his brothers body is kinda throwing me off. They make it seem so romantic but I'm like... So not only is he kissing his brothers body, Kims body likely collapsed when Pans soul got yeeted back into her body. He gave his own brother a death kiss and sucked the life out of him, leaving him to deal with the corpse afterwards.

Can anyone explain what the sound at the end said to Kim???
Basically he is probably given another chance at life for if a sequel ever happens.

Excited to start this because SKS is one of my all time favorites. This was a major disappointment on many levels…
I'm willing to see where they lead the story but yeah I would definitely still recommend SKS above this one. For me its mainly just seeing some of the SKS scenes not being taken advantage of. I recognise some story arcs like the island one but they take much less advantage to progress the relationship. I think its cause of the amount of episodes but its still unfortunate

dropping it after episode one . the scenes are really cheesy . i mean seriously?. fl falling in ml's arm ,stare…
To be fair, that's all of Chinese and Korean historical crossdressing romance series. FL always wears a lot of make up and the falling in the arms is just a traditional romance series trope. The point isn't that she looks obviously female, it's to explore romance in a different setting with a slightly different dynamic. Sure in real life she would be discovered for her appearance and behaviour but just see this as an alternate world or something like that where people are much less observant. Anyway, its just how these types of series are and some like it but some don't and that's ok

Haven't watched this but probably will. What I AM curious about if the two side guys will have similar crazy good…
Not sure they will considering this is a Chinese production. In the original there were some much stronger indications between them but I'm sure they're toning it down here.

It's been a while since I watched this but the ending made me think he values the two robots as good friends and…
Oh yeah China BL baits a lot, the producer definitely knew what he was doing. I don't know if this is based on a novel, don't see that mentioned anywhere. And yeah Pei Ni, will probably be kinda scared when she finds out hes got a robot replica of her.

I can't find this movie anywhere. Guess this is going to be one of those films I'll never get to watch…
Yeah it happens with older movies unfortunately

In general you'll find a lot of age difference media in Japan. Most are probably old man/young woman but theres…
Well that gap can even be a grandfather and daughter gap like with Nodoka's Garden. Dude looks mere days away from death. I guess some people like seeing the symbolism of love surpassing boundaries.

Is it an olderman/young woman a trend in japan?
In general you'll find a lot of age difference media in Japan. Most are probably old man/young woman but theres some occasional old woman/young man ones too. I think it might be a longterm thing since even older dramas did this sort of stuff.

I never started Mr Sunshine because of the warnings of watchers that its slowpaced/boring but I do see many people loving it as well. So really unsure if I'll ever end up watching that one.
Goblin is just pure nostalgia though as it was one of my first kdramas. I think most people will always have a bias for their first few dramas they enjoyed and I still enjoy rewatching some of the scenes. Didn't watch the rest of the series.

Yeah I think you just gotta watch this series while keeping in mind that they mostly use the Japanese RolePlaying…
Yeah it is the way it is. To be honest its not like most Western people know more about Japan than just samurai, Oda Nobunaga and ninjas either. If this exact series was done with a reverse theme where samurai and Japanese citizens visited a European bar it'd have tons of inaccuracies as well. Not to mention it would be weird to see Europeans cosplaying as ancient Japanese people xD

They really just tend to use the standard old-time Europe aesthetic with knights, bandits, blacksmiths and princesses because that's something cool and foreign. You can see there was some effort put into it though and I like it for that. The occasional blue contacts and coloured hair shows they do want to have that old German town-vibe (making that assumption based on the names and the language).

It's been a while since I watched this but the ending made me think he values the two robots as good friends and…
True, it really would depend on what the characters identify themselves as and since its China they'd probably never go into that topic. I do agree that Ah Zhai does treat them more like friends at the end but since the love triangle is never really resolved I would assume a poly relationship myself. I also assume this from the way the girl robot still clings to the guy robot at the end, usually older friends from different genders who are sexually compatible wouldn't be that close as just friends. Of course they are robots but they are very human-like. As for Ah Zhai, in my view he's either in a poly-relationship or just a third wheel of the robots relationship. I'm not sure the guy robot would do that to Ah Zhai though.
Its definitely not sexual though from what we see and I agree with that 100%. Anyway I agree that all possibilities are open.

Title In a Class of Her Own Spoiler
I love the dynamic of the group but the female lead alone with Feng Cheng Jun
is kinda boring to me at this point. Its all about becoming government officials together and friendzoning each other every time. I guess I just miss seeing some more emotions on ML and the philosophical talks don't really get to me.
Meanwhile I love Lei Ze Xin and Yu Le Xuan for their own storylines and morals. I think they carry their scenes extremely well. Probably just my own preference.
