You don’t have to belittle people like that...What you believe, feel and experience is only that, it’s not…
No we didn’t bond about this. What bothers me in your comment is not that you don’t see their bond as romantic or sexual.

I don’t see their bond, as we see it, as sexual and I can’t say for sure it's romantic, I just think there are a lot of hints of romance between them and they're probably in love with each others more than friends. The only thing I'm sure of is that they are soulmates. And I don’t mind people interpreting their bond differently than I do.

What bothers me and the others in your comment, and I made it clear from the beginning of this conversation, is that you are belittling people for seeing their bond as romantic when you see it as friendship. That's what we were talking about.

Either you have comprehension and reading issues or you are of bad faith.

And condescension and honesty are two differents things.

Lastly, disagreeing with your comment doesn’t mean we make a big deal out of it. You're arguing with me about it right now too, does that means you make a big deal out of it and don’t realize we're talking about a drama and fictional characters ? Or perhaps that condescending remark applies only to the people you're talking to but not to yourself when you're doing the exact same thing ?

Nobody here said it was a big deal...?

You made a comment about a drama on its comments section and we just answered your comment about said drama, that’s kinda the point of a comment section yk...

And if you didn’t realize, we've been talking about the depth of this drama endlessly, analyzing it again and again for days.

If you believe the nature of their bond is not a subject and it wasn’t the time or place to talk about it, maybe you shouldn’t have made it a subject ? Idk, seems logical to me. But you did.

Lastly, who is saying their bond don’t go deep and reduce it to sexuals impulses ? I surely did not, I said they were soulmates, and the others answering your comment didn’t say anything like that either.

If you don’t want people arguing with you, maybe you shouldn’t be so condescending towards them or attribute to others remarks they didn’t make or opinions they do not share.

Yes, this is some of the hints and there are so many more.

Also, the screenwriter saying their connection is directly inspired by Heathcliff and Catherine in Wuthering Heights and that their bond is unbreakable and destined and can be described, during the revenge era, as "the Wolf who loves the Sheep". Come on...

Yes.

And in that case, it’s not only BL lovers who see the romance hints.

Even anti-BL lovers can see there are hints of it since they’re saying the screenwriter followed a trend by adding them in the drama.

I doubt anybody has watched this drama without wondering if they were only friends/rivals even once...

And I love deep strong soulmate frienship's stories. There are dramas where I don’t doubt it’s only friendship. And others where I know it’s a censured BL and find it toned down so much that if If I didn’t know, I'm not sure I would have caught on by myself.

Here if one of them was a girl, everybody would say they’re probably in love with each others.

You're right. I just can’t help it sometimes...

Between those who say that people are fantasizing it and those who say that the drama is just following a "BL trend" and people are falling for it, there is no humility, no respect for others and no open-mindedness, it’s annoying...Just enjoy the drama and let people do the same, is that so hard

***MILD SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE YET TO WATCH THE SERIES**I loved this drama. Yes, it eventually began going…
You don’t have to belittle people like that...What you believe, feel and experience is only that, it’s not an universal truth and doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone else.

I don’t know if they are soulmate friends or soulmate potential lovers or something else but people don’t interpret it that way out of nowhere, there are a lot of hints in the drama that can permit to come to that conclusion and the screenwriter and actors were also ambiguous about it. The nature of their bond is not clearly defined and is up to interpretation.

Also, romance doesn’t necessarily always include sexual tension. You can be in love with someone without it even if it’s not the norm. It’s even more true in korean or chinese dramas. I've been watching them for more than two decades, and it’s quite recent for them to show sexual tension in romance centered k or c-dramas.

For real 🤣 He's so prickly, harsh too sometimes and his mood swings are something else... Jeongyo is a such…
Exactly

There are edits on Twitter showing how Jeongyo reacts everytime Pio asks him something knowing very well how to make him melt and it’s hilarious.

Even full of rage thinking Pio ordered his kidnapping, Jeongyo was weak to it lol

Ikrrrr. At least if not 20 , they could’ve made the og no. of eps which is “16” ! The manhwa is almost like…
They’ll have to skip and change almost eveything that happened in the manhwa...Unless they expect a season 2 but I doubt it...

10 episodes is a joke for an adaptation of such a manhwa...With a top notch cast like that, what a shame. It should be at least 20 episodes. At best, it's probably gonna be a forgettable drama.

They did the same with See you in my 19th Life with Shin Hae Sun. It had so much potential and they messed up, even if it wasn’t a bad drama in itself...

This trend of 8-10-12 episodes is ruining korean dramas...

i'm watching navillera rn and you're right. there isn't a single trace of pio in chae-rok (or i should say no…
I get it, I was reluctant at first for the same reason. After 4H2S, I actually was hesitating between watching Navillera and Reborn Rookie and I chose the 1st cuz the 2nd is more of my type of drama and I was afraid I would dislike it just cuz they’re not in it together as leads.

On the other end, Navillera could not be more different from 4H2S despite being about ballet and is not the kind of drama I'm interested in. I always postponed watching it cuz I thought I would find it boring and drop it despite the high ratings and I don’t think I would have watched it if I hadn’t been so obsessed with 4H2S. So I didn’t have any expectations and was pleasantly suprised to be hooked on it.

The other lead actor is also great and don’t play the usual type of main lead. They share a touching bond, but obviously very different and not as deep, intense and fascinating as JeongPio's and Lee Chae Rok and Kang Pio are so different you end up forgetting it’s the same actor portraying them. So it’s hard to compare it with 4H2S.

Anyway, this is not the kind of drama you get obsessed with (or maybe it’s me, the last korean drama I was obsessed with before 4H2S was Moon Lovers, like a decade ago, and it was entirely due to Lee Joon Gi's Wang So). But It’s peaceful, heartwarmin, touching, sometimes sad with some beautiful scenes. You'll also see Song Kang with eyes sparkling graciously dancing in leotard and tights lol

Excuse me, don’t blame hotties for having many people liking them. That’s slut shaming.
Looool 🤣

Let's just hope for poor Miyata that said hottie don’t keep a keepsake of all his exes, especially since I'm pretty sure we only saw a small fraction of his past and he still has many more exes waiting in line...

I also think his acting became even better between Navillera (that I watched after 4H2S too) and 4H2S.

Honestly, I was totally entranced by his interpretation of Pio and its evolution during the 10 years Jeongyo disappeared. I love actors who can express all their characters’ emotions through their eyes and Pio is a perfect character for that since he mostly doesn’t speak his mind and all he feels has to be expressed this way. And Song Kang is great at that, his eyes draw us in.

Also, someone pointed out on Twitter that Song Kang is in reality pretty huge, he's tall and well built but he made Pio seem so fragile, drained and vulnerable and it’s so true, especially in the 2nd part of the drama, like he could break anytime with a little wind. Even more in contrast with Lee Ju Young who made Jeongyo seems so menacing, full of rage and grief.

Both actors did such a good job that’s what make the connection of their characters so fascinating. It’s been a while I haven’t been that impressed and obsessed with a korean drama and its leads.

I still don’t understand why Song Kang's acting is criticized honestly, it seems unfair...and I wasn’t even a fan of his before 4H2S.

I mean, he's amazing and mesmerizing as Pio, who's a very complex and multi layered character and whose emotions and feelings are mostly expressed trough his eyes and behaviour. He's not lacking compared to Lee Jun Young at all, they're evenly and very well matched.

But even before that he was great in Navillera as Lee Chae Rok, whose personnality is very different from Pio but who have some very deep and emotional scenes too. I really liked him in My Demon as well, with a totally different type of character.

And the only reason I could finish Love Alarm season 1, which bored me out of my mind, was also only because of him, cuz his character and his acting are the only things I found interesting in it and he carried the all drama on his shoulders...

Loved it, it was hilarious. The female lead is such a badass and her chemistry with the male lead is good. Her relationship with her bff and colleagues was really fun to watch too.

Wow… not only has Takashi been nonchalant about Miyata facing his ex’s, he’s also inconsiderate not thinking…
He should also have stopped wearing that watch...He lacks common sence.
