I agree with Qweryuiop. I don’t understand the need to redeem the grandpa and mom. They ruined two lives. I…
Pio ending was peaceful but not that happy either with Jeongyo gone and finally learning JY lost his hand when he was so happy to think he could play the piano again.
But Jeongyo ending was the worst. The mom, the perpetrator, is happy when he ends up having to just make peace with all he lost and was done to him alone in achurch in another country...
THEY ALWAYS DO THIS!!! forgive the parents 😂😂😂😂 typical kdramas
I don’t think the ending was really happy for Pio too,, with Jeongyo gone and learning he sacrificed his hand for him, more like bitterbsweet, but yeah it was especially bad and sad for Jeongyo, even if he look kind of at peace in the end and we can imagine everything for after the ending.
The ending is not as shitty as I feared and at least Pio found him and we see them reunited in the end but it could have been so much better and impactful, it had so much potential and they wasted a lot of time with useless stuff and they chose to give the mom peace rather than give Jeongyo justice. What she did to him was atrocious, she stole his future and dream, he's still suffering from the after-effects and that’s how they chose to end it with her finding peace...

I wish they had skipped this part and focused on Jeongyo and Pio instead. This feels like wasted time, ( especially since she doesn’t deserve this peace after what did to a kid and the hell she put this kid and her son through) ’when we just get a last minute reunion with smiling faces...
Idk, in the end jeongyo has to forgive, jeongyo has to encourage pio, jeongyo has to give up music. I guess in…
He chose to encourage Pio and give up on his hand for that cuz he wanted Pio to keep playing piano. Like Pio chose to give up on his freedom and go to jail cuz he wanted Jeongyo to give up on his revenge and focus on his music.
I srsly hate this kind of time skip- then BAM! Reunion at last scene kind of ending 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yeah, I hate it too. Not the time skip but the last minute reunion.
But at least they reunited, I was really scared they wouldn’t, that would have been a shitty ending.
I'm just a little disappointed we didn’t have 5 more minutes and see them hug each others cuz yeah they did before and a hug is just a hug. That felt a little lacking as an ending after eveyrthing.
You don't know how queer-coding works. Also this is South Korea, there are no mainstream "BLs" on this…
I personally wasn’t seeing them as lovers, cuz there is no sexual tension between them (which could also be because of censorchip), nor as friends, but beyond that as soulmate with a deep unbreakable bond, and I still can see the queer coding they are talking about and understand why some people would see them as lovers.
Some stuff Jeongyo said and the way they were looking at each others especially were truly ambiguous and their comments about the relationship of the main leads too being like Heathcliff and Catherine. It makes even more sense to see JY and P that way than as simply friends or frienemies cuz they are both way too passionate and obsessed with each others for that.
They clearly did it on purpose and let people interpret as they wanted and felt.
That could have been way worse, it’s a bittersweet open ending and the scene in itself is beautiful but I wish it lasted like even 5min longer to hear them say a word to each others and hug, it was a little underwhelming and lacking as an ending for such a drama.
I personally dislike last minute reunion after one of the main lead disappear trope in a drama and it was kind of depressing. Even if that wasn’t bad enough of an ending to spoil the all drama. For me, it’s still a masterpiece and the best k-drama I've seen for years. I can even say it’s one of my favourite.
I'm just a little disappointed and I wasn’t even seeing them as lovers like some did...I'll just need some time to get over my disappointment since I liked it so much.
Same idk why people hate her she did nothing just sin of falling in live and being devoted or loyal people be…
Yes. And actually Jeongyo doesn’t care about her that much either. That would be super weird for him if out of the blue, she pried about his experiencesand trauma when she's just an old classmate. He wouldn’t really care either if she supported him cuz they're not close.
And she knows Pio is innocent and can see he's sabotaging Pio cuz he thinks he's not (which is totally understandable from Jeongyo pov) so of course, she's gonna take Pio's side and defend him. Who wouldn’t if they were her ?
Two questions before the finale:Is there more behind Pi O’s mother wanting Jeong Yo away from him than just…
I think she also wanted them apart cuz she could see how much Pio cared about Jeongpyo and Jeongyo was helping Pio breaking out of his shell and free from his family, and her. She was afraid of their bond and of losing the hold she had on Pio.
And after he became a conductor, she was afraid he remembered everything and wanted revenge against them for she did to him.
Same idk why people hate her she did nothing just sin of falling in live and being devoted or loyal people be…
She's just an unfortunate character. The main leads bond is so touching, deep and intense and they have so much chemistry that everybody can’t help but be obsessed with them and a lot of people feel the need to belittle one character to defend their fav...
She didn’t even get between them, cuz it was obvious from the start Pio didn’t feel anything for her, and was never an obstacle to their bond (if anything else, she supported it). She's a gem actually.
I just wish she was supportive of Jeongyo too but they were never that close so it’s understandable.
I think going to beg JY, the kid she got abducted and she destroyed, to save her son showed a total lack of decency…
Well, you have a point, she wanted Pio out fast and may have expected him to lie, even if i don’t think just words to the police from Jeongyo, who said before he didn’t remembered and showed he didn’t want Pio in jail, could have been sufficient. She was that desperate so not really logical and since she has no decency and feel no empathy for him, nothing was preventing her from going to him.
That’s just was infuriating to watch for me, after everything she made him go through and the aftereffects from which he still suffers today
I already answered that and explained why I think you're not objective. Just saying back that I'm the one who is not is not an argument.
I love both of them, which doesn’t prevent me to see their flaws and baggages either.
And yes, everybody who was raised by this kind of abusive family, evolve in a highly competitive environment and suffer from depression comes with a lot of baggages and "dramas". Pio actually is mentally strong, kind and empathetic and pretty sane considering how he grew up and his abusive and toxic environment.
And Jeongyo came with his own baggages and "dramas" too.

I still need some time to get over it though...

I don’t want to argue either, let’s just stop there and agree to disagree, it's pointless.

That’s what made their bond so deep.
