I struggled to finish this. The beginning was promising, Johnny Huang was good but female lead is lackluster, kind of boring and without range. She made the story even more depressing than it needed to be. The two 2ML’s and the 2FL were the only bright spot in the story. I was expecting more from this show but alas…..
Got a bit heavy towards the end. I only continued to watch for the second leads Qin Hebo and Shuang Shuang who had a fraction more chemistry than the main couple. Female lead is objectively impressive, very strong and confident-refreshing. Overall just ok.
Very good OTP. It's a story about individual personal growth within a romantic relationship. It does drag quite a bit as most modern C dramas do because they're unnecessarily long. But overall I enjoyed the main couple very much.
What's the deal with Su You Shan? why does he hate Song Lin so much and what does April (the woman who died) have to do with the rivalry between the two men? This backstory isn't explained much.
I feel so sorry for Gun possibly being stuck with Sa Ra. I don't care how much the writer rehabilitates this character or tries to explain her nonsense, there is absolutely zero redemption possible for this character in my eyes, NONE!!
While many gave up, I have been holding on and kept watching it every week no matter how much nonsense I had to…
So correct. I'm doing the same. It's frustrating since we're on the home stretch, I just hope what's going on behind the scenes doesn't affect the trajectory of the story. This drama has been annoying to watch at times but I've appreciated and enjoyed the portrayal of family and human nature in all it's dysfunctional and frustrating mess. The poignant moments are what have kept me going.
Just checking the comments to see if there is any Qing Qung hate. On epsisode 16, and she is driving me nuts!
Can't stand her, she's spoiled, self absorbed, entitled and not very supportive of her friend, oh and hypocritical. Her love life is a dysfunctional mess and she has the gall to lecture her friend about how she should be conducting her relationship, lol what a joke.
Yes, a very irritating triangle because the second male lead is childish and irrational. He never receives any encouragement from the female lead yet he continues to delude himself that he has a chance.
Watchable, but there’s a lot of plot inconsistencies. Leads are cute, but you can tell that they didn’t want to amp up the chemistry maybe because of the age gap? One thing I have to say though, the sister is a real pill, she’s one of the most selfish characters I’ve ever seen in any drama period.
Are you on weeds or something the original is 16 episodes huh wtf where did you get that from 😂🤣
Sorry my mistake, thank you for pointing that out. The original is 21 episodes of 58 minutes each so the Thai version is still considerably longer....and to answer your question, no I'm not on weed.....
I watched this for Janice and was impressed by Z Tao, I didn't expect him to be good in this but he really is, I enjoyed his performance. The OST is very good. Show has MANY plot-holes, but is ultimately charming park your brain fare. PS: I detested Star Entertainment and their business philosophy, truly horrible company.
