I watched this for Yoon Eun Hye because she's a great actress, and one of the few Korean actresses who's a complete natural on screen. Eun Hye shi, I'm waiting for you to come out with a drama that matches your fabulous talent!
SPOILER ALERT: I've revisited episodes 11 and 12 and yep the "who killed In Gyu" storyline was definitely dropped.…
Thanks for your comments. That's what I love about dramas, the interpretation differs between viewers. I appreciate your point of view but I am still dissatisfied with the handling of this story thread. It speaks to my opinion that I expressed in my review that the show tended to ratchet up the drama with little follow through. Sun Woo's scarf, the blood on Tae Oh's neck and shirt were all highlighted to what end? not for advancing the storyline, but to ratchet up the drama; this is great for the entertainment value but ultimately as a viewer when I look back on this I feel played with. Admittedly In Gyu grabbed the scarf from Hyun Seo during their scuffle but for Tae Oh to get blood on himself would have to mean that he also had a scuffle with In Gyu, how then does this scenario logically end with suicide? Little details like this are important, I mean his ring even fell off! Anyway that's my two cents, thank you for engaging with me.
In Gyu killed himself, it was a suicide. It was very clearly stated. Hyun Seo was not discarded. Basically, it…
SPOILER ALERT: I've revisited episodes 11 and 12 and yep the "who killed In Gyu" storyline was definitely dropped. Sun Woo had a conversation with Chairman Yeo (we don't know what was discussed) but shortly after this conversation she went to the police station and gave Tae Oh a fake alibi using his wedding ring to convince the cops that she was with Tae Oh on the night in question (the wedding ring she picked up at the scene of In Gyu's death) There's also a scene between Chairman and his lackey ( the guy who used to spy on Tae Oh in his office) and they're discussing footage of the crime scene, the Chairman is tucking said footage away for safekeeping.

Thanks for your comment. Wasn't the suicide stated to protect Tae Oh because Hyun Seo had implicated him when she went to the police station to report him?
I've just dropped this at episode 5. It had been on hold for over a year so I guess it's just not for me. The story is all over the place, the male lead is bratty and unlikeable, the female lead over acts and is dumbed down or dumbs herself down even though she's very intelligent in her own right. There are way too many excellent dramas waiting for me to watch them so I'm not going to force myself to watch this.
I'm obsessed with OST's. It really does add that extra punch to a drama because music is so evocative and instantly takes you back to those feelings and that world that the drama created. My all time favourite OST's are Goblin, My Mister, Master's Sun, It's Ok That's Love and many others.
" I avoid dramas with sad endings like my life depends on it" I love this! A lot of these dramas are on my PTW list, so now I have extra motivation to watch them since I don't mind a sad ending myself. Thank you for such a witty and informative article.
One recent example of an overhyped drama is The King Eternal Monarch, I know many will beg to differ, but that's how I feel about this show. Thanks for a great article.
