He was indeed in pain bcs he had broken foot, but he still insisted doing all the fight scenes (that only need his upper body) and horseback riding scenes.

Despite the ambiguous ending, can we appreciate the last 6 eps' more for the epic longg war scenes and the fight choreographies? they must have used most of their budget for those scenes alone lol

About the ending, i think NYZ and RRY are alive somewhere and indeed have 2 kids. I don't think Ning Shisan is jst an illusion, bcs he said his home is inside an academy miles away. Its RRY's dream to build an academy and she only ever said it to NYZ. So its weird if CY suddenly has the vision about them living in one while she never heard about their conversation...

NYZ maybe survived bcs we don't actually see him fall to death :") and he has that live-saving pill from QZ.. RRY also had chance to run from that tent bcs she killed Beipan's king and prince first before activating the bombs, nothing can hinder her to run from there. What she said in the end "Yuanzhou, you're not here anymore. This world is too lonely for me" probs means bcs NYZ is greatly injured and might not be able to fight and be her fighting partner anymore, it would be too lonely for her to continue being an assassin alone and involved in court matters, so she chose to fake her death again and follow NYZ to finally live in seclusion... Killed the enemies and died as an assassin would save An and Wu too from Beipan's revenge bcs they wouldn't be able to prove who's the killer.

Still, i also accept the opinion that both RY and NYZ are really died. But I don't take CY's vision as them reuniting with LiuDao boys in heaven, i think its more appropriate to think that their spirits are now free and they're now adventuring together in jianghu. As long as they're together in afterlife, it's still a HE at least for me. And in last ep, their sacrifices proved to contribute a lot for the peace of the countries. I don't mind with a drama being phenomenal for killing all the leads, but i agree with evryone who hope that the screenwriter concluded it in better way.

Rather than the ending, im more disappointed with LTG's character actually. Using dirty way to marry RRY and rushing out without strategy to kill Beipan king?? Till the last moment he still has to be educated and saved by both leads until they're dying :") His reconciliation with NYZ even calling him Ning-dage wasn't in my expectation but that kinda helped me to cope that NYZ didn't injured/ died in vain for a brat like him.

NYZ... he didn't make noise when crying but that scene is extremely painful. Its like his heart is finally broken to pieces, not even physical injuries and heavy burdens that he has been carrying along the way could break him like that🥲 thank god it didn't take long for him and RRY to reunite! That kiss is so beautiful♥️ i see that their kisses are mostly not steaming hot but can deeply convey such a beautiful and pure love between them.

Then YY makes them like a proud parents, but i still disagree with YY's decision to stay in An😭 The whole squad worked so hard to get Woody back not for them to return without her😭 But i do understand her sentiment.. all she knew is that Empress of Wu and Dan Yang tried to kill her on the way to An, and she also didn't know that Woody is showing change and redemption. So its reasonable if she's thinking she might not be able to get any credits or benefits even if she returns. I hope atleast LTG would be her ally and protect her, if they actually become friends who trust each other it would be another great character developments!

QZ punishing Woody, this action is actually coherent to his petty character🤔 It made me flashback to when NYZ recruited him in the palace to join the mission, and QZ said "ive long had this intention and will not fail the mission," i thought its bcs of his loyalty to the imperial family and he had been waiting to work with NYZ and the squad again, but now we knew he has other motive supported by that deeper backstory. He has alwys been wanted to rescue Woody jst so he can proceed with his revenge plot. Kinda sad though bcs smtms he rly doesn't obey what NYZ has told him😂

Ren Xin is indeed THE legendary assassin!! Latest eps speak volume why many ppl fear her and why NYZ alwys say "she's stronger than me." All of his words of admiration toward her esp about her strength and abilities weren't just sugar talk! Im glad they do justice to Ren Xin character, even though now she's not in her peak anymore due to old injuries but they don't weaken her character too much.

DH siding with her adding more delight to this drama, she can finally found another elder who can understand her other than the empress...

She'll grow on you🤗 no one can play Ren Ruyi/ Ren Xin as badass yet so elegant and graceful as her. Her dance and fighting scenes are also far above other actresses esp the ones you mentioned. And her character isn't supposed to be too vulnerable, though there will be times where she finally break her defense.

LSS on interview said this is not an ancient costume "idol" drama. It's not especially aimed to young viewers only. So its reasonable for them to cast mature actors like her and LYN. Even though LYN is younger than her i think he exudes the adult, reliable man aura very well.

Fitting the whole plot in 40 eps, and passing the broadcast license, removing/ re-arranging scenes must be done primarily for those 2 reasons.
But are you sure that its not a fake script? I've seen many ppl said they read the script but the drama turns out different, and all the changes is blamed to ML. I think the fake scripts are released just to slander him😅

The title 一念关山 is a line from an ancient poem 却东西门行/But the East West Gate written by Shen Yue during the Northern and Southern dynasties. It is a sad poem about life and passage of time and destiny. The line longing for guanshan 关山 implies reflections on the passage of time including past memories of life in the mountains and rivers, past events joyful and sorrowful or a longing for home. This is as relates to the personal/character aspects of the drama.
In the context of the plot 关山 guanshan also implies the frontiers and mountains that outline the empire or 江山/jiangshan. Which of course refers to the political elements of the drama. This screenwriter is well versed in Chinese literature.

I rmmber he said to ruyi that he had taken the antidote jst after they arrived at the capital bcs the trip from Juzhou to capital took quite some days. But it seems like its been nearly or more than 10 days ago since he took it, and that zhang song probs only provides one antidote per city🤦🏻‍♀️ he thinks the squad can rescue Wudi in jst 10 days🤦🏻‍♀️

When he drank Ruyi's blood and the Rebirth Pill from LTG, it didn't null the poison. He still had to take the antidote when they arrived in Juzhou(?)
