Very well said shes awesome Wonder why the water phobia
NJL belongs to the ancient lineage of the Tangled Army since the Qin Dynasty, as you must have seen. It's not just a mere lineage, she inherited unique characteristics in her blood that make it a weapon, as it's incompatible with the organisms of fiends, possessing an anti-regeneration effect. Once a fiend is wounded on the top of its head, her blood prevents it from regenerating or healing. It was due to this effect that LXR was blinded in one eye, simply from a scratch caused by a needle dipped in her blood. Furthermore, NJL's blood activates the maximum potential of certain ancient artifacts or weapons used by her organization, the Nanshan Hunters. All these characteristics cause NJL's organism to surpass human standards and therefore possess a much greater capacity for recovery.

The cdramaland recently is like a drought, nothing really comes out and has neither good ratings nor is just made…
I saw on Marcus Here! that The Vendetta of An (Cheng Yi and Xu Lu, leads) will probably premiere December 10 or 12.

Indeed, the best approach was to concretely articulate how they discovered the location. They're still kinda reconfiguring things, like the scene where YT pushes a wagon in the rescue episode, that scene, which was widely publicized, was cut. I wonder if there will be room for Lu Jie to be revealed, or was that scene just a nightmare, even though she's actually a villain in the novel? I like her so much!😅

I saw your comment talking about her trauma, I gave it a heart. Yeah! She demonstrates the deep love she feels for him through simple, tender, silent, patient gestures that reveal the greatness of her heart. I'm already sad because there are only 7 episodes left... I'm going to miss it so much! 😢

Hey, Megumi-H! Thank you so much for your comment, you provided important information, I was unaware of this particular aspect of the author. I'm always learning here! This combination of inner strength, very characteristic of women, with dexterity, physical vigor, and femininity gives the right dimension to women. What enchants me is that these characters value sweetness, gentleness, introspection, and softness, qualities of the Chinese feminine essence. The combination of these strengths is portrayed without the recurring and vulgar eroticization of women. Aspects related to sensuality, whether of women or men, are treated with the same delicacy and gentleness as in Chinese paintings, there is a poetic lightness. This series has an irreproachable aesthetic, clearly a production that delved into the essence of art. It will be missed!

I suppose not everything is so meticulous, certain events are left to the viewer's deduction. And assuming NJL might have been followed by XH, it wouldn't be impossible for her to have missed his presence, even with all the caution. Certainly, the director prioritizes more relevant facts when deciding whether to cut or keep certain scenes. Producing, for example, those moments (NJL leaving in a car, XH standing somewhere observing, etc.) has a cost and involves actors, time, and crew. Some scenes may have been cut. Furthermore, there are so many ways to track someone, it wouldn't be a difficult task to reach that location, especially since it's connected to YT's personal life. LXR has control over all of YT's connections and even discovered that he stayed at that hotel with NJL. I think the big mistake was hiding LL in such an obvious place...

There's something I admire about haters: they work day and night... to put down good productions! We need to work twice as hard to guarantee a fair rating for LOTTL! There are 7 episodes left and it's still only at 7.9???

Thanks! Did you watch today's episode? She told YT why she has a phobia of water. Do you want the spoiler or are you going to watch episode 25?

The only way we can all survive just one episode a day (it's a psychological massacre!!) is to nourish our hearts with the good discussions happening here.

After 25 episodes (and with only 7 left 😢), I highlight the quality of the character development, they all maintain their personality traits, progressing in a coherent development that aligns with who they are and with the story. It's VERY RARE to see this solidity, from beginning to end, in dramas in general.

Dilraba and Chen Xing Xu's acting is breathtaking!! However, I make a well-deserved distinction between the two: Dilraba's character is the most complex, the most challenging to interpret; she manages to reconcile wild firmness, femininity, sweetness, fury, compassion, love, pragmatism, childishness, maturity, vigor/strength/courage in opposition to her fragility as a human being susceptible to trauma, such as her phobia of water.

This character, Nie Jiu Luo, is already consecrated as legend and a classic that shines in the pantheon of great heroines.

I make this very personal point, and I apologize to those who think differently: NJL is nothing like Lara Croft. Nie Jiu Luo is unique because she has immense human depth, she is like us, someone truly made of flesh and blood. Her spirit bears the deep traces of ancient Chinese roots. She herself is a sculpture with carvings that did not copy models, that were inspired only by the subtlety of the worldview so peculiar to China. The black outfit (which would be the only similarity...), despite being daring and exuding sensuality, is sober and extremely feminine in contrast to Lara Croft, who has a masculinized, eroticized profile, almost like a soldier, clearly violent with her excess of pistols.

Our Nie Jiu Luo is a warrior who, with a simple knife, terrifies powerful enemies without losing her dragonfly aura!

In my answer above, I assumed that NJL was followed, not YR, who lives in a remote location, therefore probably unknown to them. The best assumption that they know where NJL lives is explained by the fact that YT went to her house, which suggests that he may also have been followed. Certain situations remain implicit and based on plausible assumptions derived from the signs/clues/indications left by the development of the plot.

You're right, in the beginning, as soon as SZ was placed in isolation, he didn't have the three red threads. JNL's proposal was that XS would perform all the procedures to save him, but he didn't. It's not JNL's fault.

Did you see my comment? It was the answer I gave above to Alice R, precisely refuting that YR, and not NJL, would have been followed. I'll copy and paste the answer here: "We have no evidence to indicate how long the henchman was literally on standby at that location. He couldn't have guessed what time LL would go out to take out the trash and arrived there at that exact moment, already at night. It's likely that he first followed NJL, whose address is known to them, and spent the day there, watching the activity. YR is based in a remote location, her arrival reinforced the indication that the restaurant was a strategic location in NJL's context."

Yeah! I'll post it in the Reviews section, I've already structured it up to this point, and I'll publish it as soon as the series is finished (only 8 episodes left 😢). The exchange of perceptions is what gives dimension to the work and to our own vision, we are like a mosaic, our ideas are like pebbles, and together we give meaning to what we see and feel. Thank you once again for this sensitive exchange! I hope to share this rich universe with you again!

Thank you for sharing your point of view. I really see this intense sharing and participation here; the atmosphere is light, everyone is very connected and motivated. I'm loving the series; I wrote a short review when I had only watched 12 episodes. I'll share it with you below.
________________
12 episodes, my first impressions:

●7.9 is an artificial rating that should be banned by platforms; haters are not film critics, but destroyers of works of art: I gave it a 9, with the prospect of giving it a 10 if the quality holds until the last episode.

●Quality production

●Competent director and writer who explore the storyline with depth, rationality, originality, with rare clichés.

●Very well-structured aesthetics and cinematic aspects that act on the viewer's emotional aspects, with meticulously explored environments, enhancing the viewer's immersion, in addition to atmospheres that range from luminosity to shadow, from dim light to darkness, but always strongly contrasting with the light (Example: scene of Gao's execution... episode 11).

●The series has an almost dizzying pace that balances action, emotion, tension, violence, humor, anxiety, love, delicacy, lightness, and density.

● An intelligent, engaging, and easy-to-understand plot, for now, unpredictable.

● Impeccable costume design.

● Solid characters with well-structured characteristics, well-articulated and believable emotional and psychological aspects.

●Perfect chemistry between the leads, the direction explores sensuality without trivialization, and develops the relationship between the leads with an engaging progression.

●Impeccable acting from all the actors.

●Impactful fight scenes that don't exploit excessive blood, but well-coordinated blows with good choreography.

■ My very personal impressions:

It is not a simple task to discuss the sources of Chinese film production, since even science fiction works resonate with the ancient roots of the country's culture, notably the influence of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" (Chinese: 山海经, Shanhai-jing), a Chinese classic text and a compilation of mythic geography and beasts.

The series blends mystics, legends, history, science fiction, suspense, horror, romance, and adventure in a cocktail that reminds me of the atmospheres of Alien, Blade Runner, The Shining, Rosemary's Baby, and The Name of the Rose.

Do not see in these impressions any comparison with Chinese cinematic narrative, structure, and aesthetics, whose creative process is inspired by national sources that have consolidated their own standard, in a movement that starts from within the country and extends outward, with a life of its own, because it is free from Western formulas.
