Title Love in the Desert Spoiler
That second couple is just too disgusting to my personal taste. Beding SML in a place full of corpes???? No those…
I thought they were cute at first, too, but then the killings started. Those were innocent townspeople lying on the ground in the city they captured, and they treated it lightly. Project them forward to our time period, and they are easily identified as the worst of criminals. Both lack conscience and principles, and he treats her like dirt. Psychopathic behavior, honestly. They surely do look good, though.

I was so looking forward to this drama but as I watched the first 2 episodes I feel conflicted and my excitement…
Agree 1000%. I feel we are taking forever to get to the main story, unless harem life is the main plot. If that’s the case, I will go into skimming mode, because I already have enough domestic drama on my own, ha!

I truly liked this drama. I did find our female lead unnecessarily prickly and lacking of the same devotion that…
This bothered me the most.

Green Flash workshop performance - Su Ruofei's drum dance 💃❤️https://h5.video.weibo.com/show/1034:5084034108424249
I really enjoyed this performance and the one before it as well. Even though I’m a musician, I often fast forward through such scenes, but not this time. Impressive.

Title Iron Family
Did you watch it anywhere with subs?
I am constantly lost when people just put initials. I never ever know what they are talking about and have no way to find out.

yes, give this guy a solid full length drama to lead! He can out-act a number of the top male actors out there.
I would love to get the inside scoop on how it all works!

I think so, too. It seems to me there would be greater exposure, higher status and more money (lol) with the longer dramas, but maybe I’m imagining things. I’d certainly love to see him in some of these big-budget, long dramas; he deserves it.

The thing is, Mountains and Ocean and My Lethal Man were full-length; probably more. Maybe he takes the short episode ones to work more often rather than just do one long drama a year; idk

Mao Zi Jun’s acting floored me, tbh. I ended up pitying the awful character. That is grace, to be able to bring complexity to a dark role.

This one is a step above the usual short episode. To say atmospheric is to say too little. What a beautiful drama with gorgeous actors and excellent direction. I declare to you I’m here just to watch the ML walk down the street, but there is so much more. The drama makes the Chinese Republican era look like a fairy tale in twilight with lush backdrops and elegance dripping from every scene. Can this level of intensity be maintained all the way through? If not, I’ll just watch the first part again.

Oh my, you are right about everything. I had forgotten that disaster, Cheer Up, which did nothing of the kind.…
Oh yes, I remember. Wang Zu Yi is one of my top favorite short episode guys, and I finished Love At Second Sight only because of him. I detested the FL so much that I nearly hissed at the screen every time she was on. There are so many mean FLs in Asian dramas that I’m sure some of the writers have confused the definition of strong female lead with that of villainess. If a ML who follows such a person no matter what seems romantic to them, I have to say we are different. Most men I’ve observed in RL would flee such a one-sided relationship and rightly so. To behave otherwise borders on obsession. I wish writers would make it stop. People can behave decently and considerately to each other and still have a sizzling romance. The conflicts necessary to an engrossing plot don’t have to come from the ML and FL acting like undisciplined children themselves!

Hi, do you know there is also a J-drama with the same title/ story? I watched it a few years ago.
No, I didn’t; hope I can find it.

I think in some ways this story was similar to cheer up...............both ml and sml kisses fl .........there…
Oh my, you are right about everything. I had forgotten that disaster, Cheer Up, which did nothing of the kind. I, too, would like to see a FL just once try to save a relationship instead of doing everything possible to bring about its demise.

Lol
I have watched with tons of fast forwarding and plan to finish. This doesn’t mean I’m enjoying it but proves how stubborn I am. The main cast is attractive, and I love the ML; I was unfamiliar with him until now. Would love to see him and other cast members in another role. The plot emotionally tortures the ML in the name of compassion and science but is unethical to the extreme. I wish I hadn’t started it, but now I need to see how it resolves. 😥

With you on that. This has to be the most unethical experiment ever. Pretty sure all of the scientists would not…

On Bad Memory Eraser Sep 16, 2024
Has anyone read the famous American short story (later expanded to a novel, then a film) “Flowers for Algernon”? It’s the story of a lab mouse (Algernon) who was given an operation to expand its intelligence. Later, a cognitively disabled man is bestowed the same operation and becomes extremely smart; he falls in love with a female doctor, then, just as the mouse had, begins to lose all the intellectual gains he had temporarily enjoyed. I feel the writer(s) of this drama perhaps read Algernon’s story along the way and produced this version. All that to say, Algernon’s story was a very sad one; it will be interesting to see how Bad Memory Eraser ends. BTW, I’m not implying plagiarism; writers are influenced by everything they have ever read, most of it going straight into the subconscious. And no one can write a totally original story anyway; everything has already been told. Unless you’ve found one; please share! 😊
