What happened to IQIYI? This year they couldn't even promote a single drama (except FSMM). That's why Tencent…
They have gone crazy in the last couple of days, releasing several dramas at once. And it’s not just IQIYI. A few days ago, I had nothing to watch; now I’m drama hopping like a flea on a dog! Listen, I am dedicating much of my retirement years to Asian dramas, but this is too much for even me. 😍
I binged this one in two days and loved it despite noticing many negative comments. There were a couple of episodes that dragged incomprehensibly, as if the writer(s) fell asleep at the wheel, but overall i found the drama to be interesting and compelling. The plot seemed understandable to me, even if some of the SF elements were a bit confusing. Most of SF has confusing elements. If you understood Three Body, for example, I will gladly listen to your explanation!☺️
i absolutely love this drama so much, most likely because it is sooo familiar to the k2 but hello look at the…
Oh, I see; that makes sense. Tbh, I had the hardest time trying to like Anna with anybody, lol. Just couldn’t warm to the character for some reason. K2 is still my favorite, though. ☺️
I'm going to steal your typo and call it the next level up: your normal series with rushed ending, strange cuts,…
I thought the same when I saw that typo: I am definitely watching a dreama right now. My only complaint is episodes are too short and not enough of them. @Lostmeimei, I hope you don’t mind if I steal your word. 😍
XY selfish? That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. She was okay just being WXL but gave it…
Agree. I did not like Yangzi at all, thinking she was a lightweight actress until LYF. Then I saw her throw heart and soul into this role and became a fan.
I'm thinking it's because they mentioned a few times "I had a dream...".
As I understand it, the Chinese government no longer permits the rebirth theme or time travel in dramas. I guess they are frowning upon certain kinds of fantasy while encouraging more realistic stories. Personally, if I want reality, I can watch the news or a documentary. My taste in fiction is, the more unreal, the better. There is way too much reality in the US already, gosh.
Having just watched ep. 34, I am fighting a blazing fury. Amid all the talk between the princess and the villain in the cave and afterward, not once did she remark anything like, “Goodness me! Now that I know all the people who plotted against and killed me, I realize how wrongly I betrayed PWX and ordered his murder. I will spend the rest of my life apologizing and making it up to him.” Nope, not a whisper, although she had plenty of tears and pity for herself. What a self-centered, self-important character, and I blame the writer(s), not the actress I adore. And they make PWX into a two-dimensional character without any other purpose in life but to serve the princess. Gah, what in the world. I still plan to finish it, though, unless high blood pressure attacks from this script kill me first. Gah!
