Yes, that's a really good result, especially considering how competitive the post-95 line is and how popular some of the dramas/characters ahead of him were. We all know Zhang Linghe is huge this year, and Song Weilong's drama was based on a big IP and was a hit too.

Always great to see Rui rank so high, considering it's been less than 3 years since his debut and he only has 4 dramas out, with just one 1st lead role.

No idea if he'll be ML or 2ML, but that's probably the right drama. Dates match.

I don’t really think TJR will be in this drama. I don’t remember ever seeing his name associated with it. At most, maybe a super tiny cameo role.

Did TJR and Deng Wei actually have any interactions during TLORC, either in the drama itself or in any BTS/reuters? The only thing I remember is group scene in one of the early episodes where they were technically in the same room.

And I'm now more worried about Youku than I was before. HJY’s fandom mentioned this drama: The Sea of Dream, and how it still hasn’t aired. I checked, and filming already wrapped in June 2023, yet it’s 2026 now and it still hasn’t aired — despite being based on a Liu Cixin novel, with Liu Cixin himself involved in the production as well.

When I first looked into the book and didn’t know anything about the characters, only that it involved some kind of special forces unit and an expedition, I also assumed Rui would be the scientist and HJY the soldier.

The whole character situation is confusing. From what I understand, both men are soldiers, and I’d assume Huang Jingyu would have the bigger role in the drama, but at the same time, he doesn’t exactly look like a 23-year-old, so yeah, Rui would make more sense. As for the female lead, who knows. The only thing I’m hoping for is that they don’t do some kind of gender swap and give Rui her role instead.

I’d like to try them too. I like sour things, and most regular “sour” candies aren’t actually that sour. But it seems like this particular brand isn’t sold here at the moment, and it doesn’t exactly seem cheap either.
