Don't get me wrong. I'm not condoning what the ML did. He's obviously a RED flag. It's funny he wants a consensual relationship but he really gave her no choice. I haven't finished this but not sure how she can fall in love with a man who humiliated her like that.

It's just so cheesy her holding up a sign to sell herself so blatantly. Isn't prostitutions illegal in China? So she sold herself to the ML the first time, why is she so unwilling to do it again the next time but rather let her sister die? Not sure her logic and what has changed, she has developed scruples now?

I think I'm the only one who can't see it. Maybe when she did the fake smile, I can see some resemblance on the mouth. Their eyes are so different though.

I have to laugh at the scene when XRR finally realized that she was MQG. It's right in front of her face and she still has a hard time accepting it and still thinks it's not possible lol There were 2 fruits, if one of them is not MQG, then who is the other one? Her deduction skills is really something else.

This is one of the best version for this storyline. The ML is Sooo Hot!!

No I don't think that is it. The Lu's has no such customs. She wants to find a matrilocal husband (husband who married into the wife's family) so her inheritance can stay with her. The 3rd son (ML)'s parents are dead so she targeted him thinking he would be ideal for matrilocal husband.

ah I see. So the aunt has no children and moved back to her own family after her husband died. So technically, the FL actually has no relation to the Lu's since the only link was broken.

She should be on the special guest role. I think she made a good choice here to be part of the cast and she's doing a great job.

I'm really not a fan of the 'treat you badly for your own good' trope. Honestly, I'll tell them them the truth and let them make their own decision. Of course, you can try to persuade them out of it but If SYS choose to go the demon route, it's his choice. Same as MQG/XRR, I think she has a Saviour complex and if that's what she choose in her rebirth, then let her be.

I'm all caught up. I'm really not liking SYS and MQG both making decisions and acting like they know better for the other person. This is equivalent to what SYS's mom did to the young SYS. She thinks she knows better and giving him a better life by treating him badly and abandoning/selling him. And we all know how that turned out?

Yes she's so darn cute in all her dramas. Especially when she makes requests with her polite and adorable voice. I don't think anyone can resist her charm and say no to her.

Ok I think I kind of figure out after watching ep 3. The FL's aunt is married to the Lu family. I think she's married to one of the branch. The ML is from the 2nd branch of the Lu family. I guess they can be considered distant cousins but not blood related.

So how are the ML and FL related? The Luo and the Lu's?
