I finally watched ep 29 and I don't get why people were saying the FL is soft and weak, and she just wants to retire to some farm. She was just telling the ML not to rush into things and not to be so impulsive since the court situation is tricky and they are dealing with high stake.

I think ZL definitely needs her to win against the Yu's because she's very rational and thinks 5 steps ahead but ZL acts emotionally and deal with the consequences later.

Seriously, those 5 seconds clip and people know exactly what is going down and kept complaining about it on the forum. After I watched it, making mountain out of molehill...

She can't win against anyone, not even a lowly concubine. If she wasn't so annoying, I would've felt sorry for her.

oh I just realize I started this sometime ago because I liked the leads. Production and cinematography were very decent but the pacing was so slow so I dropped it. Now I saw there was a part 2. So many vertical dramas, I'm getting them all mixed up lol

Thanks for the insight though. I actually like stories where the FL pursues the ML or the one who likes the ML first. I'm kind of tired of the FL with her scumbag ex who cheated on her and she goes and have a ONS or flash marriage the ML.

I hate this one. The ML is a scumbag and the FL is so weak and softhearted.

She should've learned after all these years, being docile and compliant is not what her husband wants. He was attracted to her because of the scholar books, nothing to do with someone devoted to him. He liked someone who is learned, and that's how he fell for FL too, when he saw her teaching the girls. After 7 years, YK still can't read her husband and he's not that deep.

She is ordinary. After being in the YU's household for 7 years she still hasn't learned a thing of how to be cunning and please her husband and MIL so she can secure some power in the household. Ms Wu learned that and she just joined the household.

I think it's out of habit. Sometimes it's not easy to just change the way you addressed someone when you have been doing it for a long time. It's funny but I feel really weird calling my MIL, mom, so I just call her 'grandma' after my kids.

Yes it's sad that people who slandered others and tried to ruin their career only get a slap on the wrist. It should be harsher as a warning to others. But I can totally see the culprit go, "my bad, I'm wrong" and all is forgiven.

Most likely married off and it was her turn in the beginning. The younger ones might not be of marriageable age. Back then everyone with surname FU live together so the other young ladies could be her cousins/sisters who were married off or died so no longer part of the family and not relevant.

Yes that was the plan before she asked him to marry her and he agreed when they travelled to Ganlin so in the eyes of everyone "they eloped" since they didn't have permission to get married.
