I finally finished this. It was a great drama. I agree with all your points except for the ending kiss is not necessary. I thought it was a nice touch, knowing that they is a chance they might not see each other again after the separation, I would kiss the ML too lol. She says that she would wait for him in Shanghai, so it's a declaration of feeling for each other. It was a good ending to me :-)

The separation near the end was so unnecessary and they got back together in the last 5 mins. Maybe it was the bad translation, I don't even know why she wants to break up when the murder was resolved. The ML is way too good for the FL and I feel like she doesn't deserve and appreciate him. Overall, it was a good drama but could have been better executed.

The 2FL is so spoiled and selfish. She broke up her friendship with the FL because the FL didn't tell her that she was dating the ML. How is MZ supposed to tell her after she just told her that she likes the ML too? It's not as if the ML shows interest in the 2FL, he hardly knows her and FL didn't steal her bf. SFL then ignored her for 7 years. MZ's mom was murdered and she didn't even get in touch with her to see how she was doing. What a terrible friend. When they were finally friends again after 7 years, she pulled the same stunt again. Cut off the friendship when MZ told her that she had a talk with 2FL's mom about her mom's murder the same day she committed suicide. So she blame her mom's suicide on the FL. I think it's better if FL never be friends with her again.

There is a fairly hot sex scene (for a c-drama) at end of episode 14. Surprised it wasn't censored.

I watched 5 episodes and this is actually quite a good drama, very underrated. The leads have such good chemistry. Wondering why the rating here is so low, maybe bad ending??

The ML broke up with the FL after that incident mentioned above. It didn't last long since the FL knows she was wrong and try to get the ML back. In the end she explains her reason for doing what she did and sincerely apologize to him. There is another hiccup towards the end, but they worked it out. I was happy with the ending. It seems like many audience were not happy with the FL. She's far from perfect and has alot of baggage and hang ups due to her disability so if you can understand her point of view, you'll be fine. Enjoy!

Nope the ML is not a simp. He calls out the FL's bullshit and he's not a pushover but he's respectful and supportive. He doesn't forgive unless the apology is sincere and the misunderstanding is clear up.

I just watched 1st episode. Weird, nothing really to keep me interested in seeing more. The FL is so boring...does it get better?

The talk between the brothers was intense. I really don't get Hua Liang reason for helping the Japanese. Is money really that important?? Why would he want to help them win the war against your own kind?? What a spineless traitor!!
