Reading all these comments, I don't think I can watch this. This sounds like one of those dramas in the early 2000s that were very angsty with alot of misunderstanding. I'll stick with vertical dramas for that since I can get it over with in 2-3 hours lol.

I'm getting confused with the names, Lin Ah Gou is Gou Ya, the guy YT threw off the building? Or I'm missing who LAG is. But I understand the relationship now. I'm not referring to the name but the original body of the current LXR. The current Lin Ling is most likely the daughter of the original body since LXR needs her blood to keep her youthful appearance. But i do wonder who is YT's real sister.

Maybe it's not for you. I've never watched a show I enjoyed at 2X the speed. I think when you like something you would want to savor it, and not to get it over with quickly.

I've always wanted to watch this and saw this on Netflix. This is actually an excellent drama. I'm surprised there has been no remake in 10 years. I'll definitely check it out if there is a Chinese remake.

I get where you're coming from. I used to watch k-dramas but now I only watch mainly c-dramas because I got used to the c-drama schedules and have no patience for the 2 episodes a week. I find myself losing interest/ momentum after not been able to watch in another 5 days or some other drama caught my interest. You probably feel overwhelm because you're not used to it but it's doable for me to watch a couple of episodes every night before bed.

FI thinks she's being brave by depending on herself but she is one of the dumbest FL I have ever known. She knows the ML has the power to help her but she chooses the hard way and suffered abuse and humiliation for over a decade. Seriously, biggest dumbass.

Given how strict China is with surname and household registration, how in the world did the Uncle marry his adopted daughter who has his Surname and in his household??

I don't like the way the FL played the role. Maybe just not a good actress because, instead of making me sympathize with her, I feel no pity for the situation she is in. The way she treated the ML, my first instinct is please don't help her. Let her deal with her own mess.

Didn't realize there were at least 6 versions already. I watched 2 versions - the Wang Kai Mu and Wang Yi Ge versions. I think that's enough for me even though I like the leads here.

I see so many comments about being lost but I also didn't find it hard to follow and more details were revealed in every episode. I think maybe people are skipping or tuning out some of the dialogue.
