I swear I thought Yeong Beom and Gem Myeong were gonna be together because of how he was so similar with Gwen…
I love that he wasn't the end game. From the start I dislike how similar they are to her father and mother's story. I love that they showed us that it may be same personality but just bcoz it worked for others dkes and mean it will work for you too.
They already showed us that it's not him. We saw a timeskip in which Beom said to his mother "You were the only…
Well she did say "My first love didn't have a fairytale ending it seems" and the way she said it seems to me, she has moved on..it's been years, we saw his child was already a teenager.. that's how long he's been married and still didn't have a backbone to leave his mom.
A lifetime is too long to rest it on a single choice, is exactly what yeongbeom life can be described as. His…
He told her he will leave his mom. She was right not to trust that word because he obviously wouldn't be able to. He will leave and will eventually return to her and she said it will just make them resent each other.
Because you see, he could leave. If he really wanted to, he would've left and not marry without love but nah in the end, he still cannot say no to her.
I’m not a good viewer because….I didn’t like it. ok, then, hon. I stated in my review that I stopped after…
No. If you watched it properly you would know, she is a tsundere. The reason he fell for him was exactly because he knew "the real her" . She protected him from bullies. She sit there with her book because she felt so embarrassed to be seen selling those cabbages while still in uniform, she was acting tough to hide her insecurities,.feeling embarrassed by being known as "beggar"
oh man. you lost me a bit when you sympathized with Sa-ra. her humiliation doesn't even come close to the humiliation…
Not really sympathizing with her per se but if you want a revenge I think there should be a better revenge than playing with herself and seen by everyone.
It is just an okay Drama for me. I watched it bcoz of KSH and I thought it will be a romcom, never expect it to be a tearjerker. It's one of those dramas that I can only watch ones. For now, I will be putting it on hold since it has become stressful to watch lately.
You missed the entire point of this show. No one is forcing anybody to view the MC as victim. She was a grey character.…
You are the d*mb on here.
Here I will explain to you:
Lol. How narrow minded are you? You automatically assume I wanted Mask Girl to be like True Beauty?
Yes, you need comprehension. You couldn't even understand what I am pointing at.
Let me list again the flaws.
1. MC took advantage of a drunk man - imagine if their gender was reverse- you will be fuming with hatred towards that guy. But in this scene? It was completely ignored. Why? Because the culprit is a woman? Because the culprit is ugly therefore her actions can only be seen as result of her being a victim? - again this is a great example of gender bias.
2. We have NJ, another ugly character who could relate to the MC - you can say just like the MC he is victim of society -he r*ped MC and you guys went on complete hate against him and thought what happened to him is justified. -so again, please return to my point no.1
The writers were trying to make the MC the only victim, her actions were seen as "gray" - you guys excused her actions as her being only "victim of society " - so, read my point no.1 and 2 again.
If the writers were as great as you claimed it to be, Mask girl do not need to love herself - but again, her actions will be properly given more depth. But no, after episode 4 - the writers were trying so hard to make the mask girl into nothing but victim.
And judging from your comment, then yes, you do see her as the only victim
The smile has left your eyes - has perfect example of good written "grey characters" Even Vicenzo was example of Grey characters- unfortunately again, Mask girl didn't have that depth
^^ there I copy-paste it for you, since you two are on the same wavelength.
"It would've been better if this movie became about the MC finally learning to love herself."Nah. Literally every…

This is funny. Read my comment again and read your comment again and see this from your own comment:
"MC was a victim to what the society did to her. Everyone closed to her failed her. "
Oh god. You keep contradicting your comment. Do you even understand my comment or did you close your mind because you can't accept the fact that this drama is not as good as what you guys are claiming it to be?
And you just prove my comment on your last reply. That the writers failed the rest of the characters as well.
Read my comment again! Reading Comprehension please?

Again, you didn't get my comment.
Yes, the premise was good but again what is the story even trying to tell. What is the story really about?
They were trying to sell it for "This is how the world is for ugly people" - then what do we see? These ugly people turned into this.
What they did to Nam Joo was the most disappointing. Here we have the "ugly" guy who may be the only who could love the MC but they turned them into this perverted rapist.
MC became obsessed with a married man and even tried to SA*d him while asleep - yet, what happened? Nothing. MC didn't show remorse about that and the directors and writers made viewers not pay attention to it yet, when the same thing happened to the MC, she was shown as victim "oh girls are never safe" - this is why I say they try to be woke. As if trying to cater for "Me too" era but only as MC as the victim. So apparently ugly people will turn into that but it is never their fault(if they are woman) it's society's fault.
Just look at your comment that is exactly why I said this series failed to deliver whatever message they are trying to deliver.
The MC took advantage of a drunken man - but it is okay, she is a victim of society. But the others? they're not🤦♀️
So again what was the series really trying to say? You said they didn't want MC to be shown as victim but you eventually said she is a victim of society. Using the excuse "because she is ugly"
How many good looking people are there, wanting to become an idol, a celebrity but couldn't? How many celebrities quit because they couldn't be popular? How many good looking idols gets bullied for their look? Are you gonna say they are victim of society to?
This is where the plot lack. Because the MC's problem was also on her. Yet they failed to show us that "realization" because again, blame it all in society - never on her. If you are going to show a gray character, do it properly. If you are going to make this series dark, do it properly.
Therr are many series that did well doing that and like I said, this is not one of them.
Because you see, he could leave. If he really wanted to, he would've left and not marry without love but nah in the end, he still cannot say no to her.

This site is not the right basis for what is overhyped.
This was generic.
And again, read properly. Use your reading comprehension instead of letting your emotions as fanatic clouded your understanding.
MC is not the only ugly person in this series.
But again, she was the only victim for you.
But again, didn't they have that "pretty coworker"? Whom men were trying to take advantage to?
You have been contradicting yourself until the end.
"She is not a victim" - then later on say" she is only a victim of society "
"I am not trying to prove my my point or force my opinion on you" but look at what you are doing.
What do we call to this kind of people again?
