Haven't even started yet, but I know how it ends from a Youtube short. From what I have read Sang Yeon does then…
Eun Jung isn’t a saint or unrealistic at all. She and Sang Yeon have a long, complicated history — Eun Jung has seen everything: when they were broke, when life turned upside down, when her brother died, and her parents split up. She even resents her mother.
She’s not overly kind or perfect — she actually hates Sang Yeon sometimes, cuts her off when things get toxic, but still ends up feeling sorry for her. Some people are just like that in real life — not saints, just empathetic and soft-hearted, especially toward someone they once loved and grew up with.
Her empathy isn’t about being naive; it’s something she learned from her mom, who raised her with too much compassion.
Can we get Park Jihyun in more dramas, her acting is amazing
did you know that she acted with (Kim Go Eun) in Yumi's Cells? both have the same roles. Park Jihyun was [Ung's colleague] who loved him and she was the reason for breaking up between Yumi & Ung
Did you watch Way Back Love? it's a romance drama and she did very well. The romance in TF is supposed quite subtle…
No, I didn't, I couldn't see her in romantic role, that's why I didn't watch it, but somehow, I liked her role with "Lee Min Ho" in Pachinko , maybe because her role was about struggling in life more that romantic scenes
Is Typhoon Family worth watching? I haven’t started it yet, but I wanted to share my initial thoughts. I really loved Lee Jun Ho in The Red Sleeve—his performance was amazing! I also liked the leading actress from Pachinko.
However, I noticed her new role is in a romance, and I’m not sure this genre suits her, so I’m a bit hesitant to watch. This isn’t a criticism of her acting at all, but sometimes certain roles just don’t fit some actors. That said, my love for Lee Jun Ho makes me tempted to give the series a try.
I started this drama two days ago, and since then, the only thing I do is: go to work → come home to watch "You and Everything Else" → then go to sleep.
I’m currently on episode 6, and I honestly can’t wait to finish it.
Kim Go Eun’s dramas are just so addictive. There’s some kind of magic in them — I’m not sure if it’s her acting, or if she just has a perfect eye for choosing captivating projects.
I understand your point, but I don’t quite agree. In my experience, many viewers actually complain that 16-episode…
I actually agree that many long dramas feel dragged out, and I also appreciated the fact that this one was fast-paced and never boring. For me though, the issue wasn’t the length, but the way the final episode felt rushed and poorly wrapped up. I don’t mind a tighter story at all, but I do hope for an ending that makes sense and respects the buildup. In this case, it just felt like such a waste after everything that was done so well earlier (fighting swordsmen with pot lids and spoons, no explanation for the king being in the future, so childish scenes)
I came here to write a review and realized almost everyone already said what I was thinking. The drama was surprisingly fun and way more enjoyable than I expected, but the last episode ruined everything. There was so much mess and inconsistency. I won’t repeat what all the other reviews already mentioned — because it’s exactly how I feel too — but honestly, why do writers keep destroying great shows with rushed, poorly wrapped-up endings? Such a shame to see a drama this good collapse with such a lazy and nonsensical conclusion.
The last episode was pretty bad and felt childish...fighting swordsmen with pot lids and spoons (really?), FL…
exactly , I really loved this drama, but the last episode was childish, I can accept all these childish scenes , but not the last one when the king is in the future, the writers couldn't explain that, so they made it secret !! really..I came here for comments because of the last episode..they wrapped the history of the king in a beautiful way without changing the events (or history) ..but why did they write this episode like this!!
I usually wait until I finish the drama to write my review, but I only watched episode 1 and before watching episode 2 I should write this.. finally the lovely "Park Min Young" is back..I used to love her characters and acting very much, but recently, she disappointed me and I stopped watching her dramas.. If you are a fan for Park Min Young in (Sungkyunkwan Scandal, City Hunter, Healer, Remember: War of the Son, Queen for Seven Days, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim ) then you will love this drama as well.
Of course, with such a big cast full of beloved actors, everyone was waiting eagerly. But the reality turned out to be a complete disaster and a shame in the career of every actor who agreed to be part of this. There’s nothing to say because there’s simply no story, no plot, no real events. Honestly, even if a child tried to make up a fantasy drama about superpowers, the result would have been better than this mess.
Makjang dramas are known for being over-the-top, but Stairway to Heaven really crossed the line. Compared to Winter Sonata, which I loved despite the exaggerations , this one often felt downright silly.
For example, the father had almost no role in his daughter’s life. Even after finding out that his wife was mistreating her and that her stepdaughter was trying to kill her, he did absolutely nothing. He was practically absent through all her suffering — the blindness, the surgeries, even her death.
Another frustrating part was the heroine herself. Her kindness was taken to such extremes that it became illogical. How could she, while dying, ask her stepmother (who covered up her daughter’s crimes) to take care of her father? Who in their right mind would trust a potential murderer with their parent? And to top it off, she forgave the very girl who caused her endless misery and tried to kill her multiple times. That’s just not believable.
I can understand the tragic, undying love between the leads, but the points I mentioned above made the story too irrational to fully enjoy and left me frustrated.
Right now, I’m actually in the mood to watch more makjang, but I’d prefer something closer in tone and quality to Winter Sonata rather than this kind of over-the-top storytelling. If you have recommendations for melodramas or makjangs that feel dramatic yet still make sense, I’d really appreciate it!
I honestly don’t know how I didn’t watch this drama earlier, but I’m so glad I finally did. From the very first episode I couldn’t stop — I rushed home from work just to continue watching, and on weekends I stayed up late bingeing it. I watched it straight through without pausing for any other drama, and it’s been such a long time since a series hooked me like this. The story, the suspense, the execution — everything was top notch. K-dramas from 2016, 2017, and 2018 really had some masterpieces, and Tunnel is definitely one of them. Absolutely amazing!

BTW, I'm a girl :)
