No. The show is a romance. Its a core focus. Its been descibed as such and some people are surprised when it happens.

It's going to be as my theory oh soo jae had a child and oh soo jae and joo wan were lovers in the past. That mystery girl in center where Director baek visits will be gong chan step sister (as many views said) But I don't know whether the same daughter of joo wan will be oh soo jae child. I wish it shouldn't happen.(if this happens I will say it as a bad writting as there is no love/ affection between them and no mother daughter bond in the scenes they shown till now)

But the teacher scene was kept to say about the teacher character and the male teacher relationship with the male leads as you seen they have involved with the male lead in past in the step sister case But in epi 4 final scene I don't think as it is forced. I expected that they are going steal the document which oh soo jae kept tk scare her (not to kill). And oh soo jae literally moment ago she talked to him so at night he will be at home which is close to her office. So she called gong chan. I can call it as oh soo jae brilliance in handling situation. At the same time director clearly says that she is mastermind person with brain and tactics with mental strength to defeat her enemies but doesn't have physical strength to defeat
I understand some times logic may miss but I always put my mind to think positive about all kdramas which I watch to enjoy the show (kdrama is a drama with a life message)
