The drama initially shown FL’s wits and smart perspectives but then when it comes to ML, she is just determine…
No, not just on the basis of a shadow. For her, the ml had cut all ties with her in childhood when her family got in trouble. Although he clarified the misunderstanding and to some point, she was willing to marry him, it is undeniable that she doesn't truly love him. Even now, she hasn't fallen for him yet. So, combined with the fact that he turned her away in childhood, the shadow and the rumours that she heard before and after her death about the princess(they started before they met in Heyang, he enamoured the princess with his painting in the beginning) she deduced that he killed her. Also, since the one dying was virtually YCW, the only one who seemed to benefit from her death was PY.
I think she's also got an agent who either pushes bad roles on her (ie always playing the nitwit, like Yang Zi…
The post is called the director, it could be called the recorder or something like that as well. It is actually, quite literally the job of the producers and the directors to help artist that are struggling to portray their character and lead them in the desired 'Direction'. If it was really as you are suggesting, then no actor needs to work hard at all. The entire crew works tirelessly, but only the actors are shown on screen, their performance determines the future of the rest of the crew, sometimes even other actors. Which is why it is so important that the director helps newbies and sometimes even experienced actors need help in order to do justice to their character.
I think she's also got an agent who either pushes bad roles on her (ie always playing the nitwit, like Yang Zi…
I agree, although I haven't read the novel this show will be adapted from, I hear it is a very challenging role, the character is in the gray zone. I doubt she'll be able to do as well as some other actress with more polished acting skills like ZLS or YSX.
If Liu Yuning has any good sense he should pull out of this one rather than being paired with an FL who cannot…
Try watching Born to Run, her character there is nothing like LYST and her acting is even better here. It's actually great in general here, not just compared to her past works. If this was the first show of hers that I watched, I would never believe that people hate for bad acting. But yes, I am indeed worried about how YCY and LYN would look as a couple on screen.
I think YCY did well enough in her last drama LYST because the role suited her well. I would venture to say it…

I totally agree. I watched her for the first time in dance of the phoenix, and now I'm watching her fourth drama - born to run. She barely improved in hereos and then had a huge leap in LYST and now in BTR, her acting is legit amazing. I have a feeling that she will do even better here, I've always felt that she can act well, she will act well and she is improving greatly now. Also, LYN isn't half bad an actor either, he was actually quite good in AJTL. It's also a reunion for them after heroes. But, I'm worried about how they'd look as a couple on screen.
Wait, why is the rating getting lower each day? I hope the rating will be better at the end of the drama. This…
It's because of YCY. People think that her acting is bad and that she is spoiling this show too, but they don't understand that that isn't the case. She's nailing it. But, her character and her mom are indeed a huge reason behind the dropping ratings. Her mom is like a villain and there seems to be absolutely no redemption for her. No karma and even Ruohua doesn't fight back, she tries and then circles back to obeying her mom. I loved how she dealt with the blind date, that was a awesome slap in her mom's face. But then, she became the same weak girl again. I understand that this actually quite realistic character development, but it was getting a bit annoying before that. But, yesterday's update was quite amazing, let's hope the rating rises soon.
I would love to watch it because Chu Xi is such a fantastic actress but I won't because Chao Yue is so annoying!…
Just see this trailer, please https://x.com/dramapotatoe/status/1704700735093604756?s=20 At 0:24, her crying scene is fabulous. YCY had already improved by leaps and bound in LYST, although she wasn't as good there, but compared to her past works, it was a huge improvement. But here, she is actually a great actress, if this was the first work of hers that I watched, I would never believe that people hate her for bad acting.
the fact that my least favorite actress is in it but 2 of my fav actors are also in it TcT. I can never watch…
I strongly suggest that you try Love you seven times. I know, YCY is the fl there, but her acting has improved signficantly. She has multiple characters, the initial one is a spoiled immature xianzi, and plays it rather well. The tantrums and stuff is something I can see Xiang Yun doing. Just don't go in expecting it to be like the novel, if you read it, that is. But it was a good show and had good characters and dynamics. It changed my opinion of YCY entirely.
The guy is way over the level of the 2nd FL. She is neither pretty nor interesting enough. I really don't understand…
Maybe, she's just his type? Love often happens for no reason and one might find themselves immensely attracted to people who aren't anything like the people they have liked in the past. Also, we aren't shown their interactions in too much detail. We don't know how much they chat and what they about with each other. Because that was how the leads fell for each other way before they had even met each other. This show depicts love quite realistically, and love isn't all that glamorous or even logical as we see in media. It just happens for no apparent reason and one day we just realize that we are in love with someone. I find their romance sort of eadearing, like Juemei seems to be exploring is own feeling before making a move towards her. Their interactions are rather natural, the way they are falling in love is something I can totally picture happening in real life, just falling for someone you have nothing in common with and hanging out every now and then, unsure of whether you should or shouldn't take things further the shy awkwardness of every interaction. I think its quite interesting.
Actually, this has been adapted from a manhua, known as Mr Intrigue's love game or love and lair game etc, the artist was Ailu Mao, a very famous mahua artist group with very high quality art. The plot there was also pretty cliche but had some refreshing twists and turns in it. The current synopsis and reviews sound as if every good part has been cut. I loved the manhua, worried for the show😬
Are we going to get at least one decent kiss in Thai drama? After 21 episodes, still not a decent one. A few hours…
Not gonna say that I would mind having some more kisses here, but that doesn't take away from the romance here. The leads are so convincing as a couple without needing too much physical contact to prove it. There were some points when I thought that maybe she should have leaned on his shoulder here, but they are still in a very early stage of a relationship here, they are being careful and hesitant. Which is what I really like here, it's a sign that their relationship has more maturity to it than most other cdramas, the characters themselves are pretty well crafted.
Yes. Sml only weakness in this drama.. He is so jobless, he just love fl & it’s him aim...
There were some scenes where his expressions were really great, like once in the second life when he was sitting in a carriage with a eunuch, his eyes were filled sadness and anguish. Overall his acting is enjoyable, but his character srsly only exist to unnecessarily complicate things for the leads
I hope that everyone will watch and rate this show without any prejudices. If you dislike the show only because of the FL or its divergence from the novel, it will be disrespectful towards the rest of the cast and crew. Every C-drama adapted from a web novel makes changes in the plot, sometimes minor and sometimes major. Despite the latter being the case here, I don't think that has made this a bad drama. Also, YCY is acting pretty well here. She is not as good as YSX in LBFAD but not as bad as in TJOCZ. The soundtrack is amazing, as is the CGI. The chemistry of the leads is cute and sizzling at the same time. The direction is also great. There are a lot of positives here which seem to outweigh the negatives. So, I hope that my fellow novel enthusiasts will give this drama an honest and fair review. It is not my intention to hurt anyone, you are allowed to have your opinions, but maybe, try to look at the show in a different light? It really deserves better than the 8.1 it has right now.
