In the novel, Xie zheng lied made gongsun put chicken blood on him to make it look like zie zheng is dying so chnage yu will continue to nurse him to health but maybe becoz of some screen time shortage.. It was cut off that's why chang yu went to battle instead of him... I won't be blaming chang yu on this coz technically all of this rooted becoz Xie zheng lied... If he told her the truth she won't drug him and fight for his stead... So I don't blame her we are reaching 30 episode and his lie fester... It's based on novel. Too late to complain about the writer coz it's been written long ago. The novel is actually female centric with title chasing jade.. Yu means jade.. "chang yu"... In this drama it's equal billing I think coz ZLH is a big name.. But the story is good already.. This is not documentary or some modern drama so don't expect realism on this.
