I differently think that it has to do with the actor. I keep noticing in the cast interviews and BTS that the actress tried to connect and talk to him but he remained stiff and unresponsive most of the time so gradually she became ‘whatever’. Can be his personality or jealousy issues from wife and children, which is pretty common in S.Korea.
