Can't agree more. I still just can't see the love in her but instead being dragged along. Like you, I'd love to…
Chairman's character has been fairly consistent so far, but Gwang Sook...well she's just going along what he's trying to build. I totally agree that relationship development on her character fell short, as imo most of the storylines are centered around her and her relationship with brother in laws is the most focused.

Agree with both of you. I notice she calls him first a few times and such, but generally her character is even sweeter and more affectionate to her brother in laws than to him lol And I feel that it's not intentional but the writer's fail.
There is a part of me that wants GS to be hurt badly so HS reacts and tells his MIL to stay out of his private…
Can't agree more. I still just can't see the love in her but instead being dragged along. Like you, I'd love to see 4-5 episodes of their marriage life, so that I can hope for GS to be a bit more excited and passionate then? lol However the writer has been a disappointment to me so I'm keeping my expectations at the lowest.
I’ve watched enough long dramas to know this is very decent with a good flow. Maybe it’s good I didn’t read…
Sorry for my confusing writing. I meant that I dislike makjang family dramas that's why I decided to watch FEB as it's not one, but recently I'm just feeling that makjang elements started to get thrown in, many of which are unnatural to me.

Yes I do think that overall this is not as bad as some others in the same genre. It's just my expectations I guess. I normally avoid makjang family dramas and started watching this one as it felt like a differently pleasant and easy watch. And it can be because I enjoyed the show so much that I get disappointed when I feel that it is side tracking.
Wow. I went to read the character profiles and they’re so weird. If they had another show in mind they should…
I know right? And again what is the purpose of Chairman's MIL thrown in at 4/5 of the drama? To stirr things up more? Because it feels like she wasn't supposed to be there by the original storyline.
Recently I can't help but think that the production is failing miserably in managing the pace of the show as originally planned. I remember reading the character profiles on their official website and realized a lot of what's written there still cannot be found in the drama, despite having only 12 episodes left. Like where's the supposed-to-be cold war of nerves between the Chairman and Bom who wouldn't give in for each other in fighting for their respective loves? Gyeol who is said to be stuck between them all the time? Bom who wants to be one of the eagle siblings (when she haven't even seen one of them)? I think a lot of time was wasted in 3rd bro couple scenes (which are mostly repeated of the hairdresser asking what she is to him), dragging Kang Soo's birth secret drama too long and adding in the unnecessary MIL part, all of which has put aside the originally fun storyline. They should've had less number of eagle brothers in the show if they can't handle, or make the show 100 episodes long like some other weekenders. Now all I can see is the production dropping the original plots here and there, and rushing all they can to wrap up the show. Not to mention most of the characters have several inconsistencies so far as I've observed. Am I disappointed? Yes. Will I continue watching the drama? *Sigh* Still yes. As I have so much love for the main leads despite the disappointment.
MIL can get tied to the tree next too Chun Su's ex and get smothered with honey as well :)
I don't think MIL is entirely a bad person. She is still the high status person looking down on the 'lower class' plus she got the wrong information of FL being a gold digger, but once she realizes that FL is a nice person and with the persuasion of her grandchildren, I think she'll give them her blessing soon. Part of me hopes that she bonds with FL's mother at the hotel spa lol
Anyone feeling that one of the couples may not end up together? I can't exactly say why but with the complications and dramas among the relationships, I have a feeling that the writers will ruin one couple.
My view about that scene in the LX Hotel lift is different from some commenters here.If Dongseok had introduced…
It was my "what the" moment when DS signaled her not to address him. He was cooler than this, or at least that's what I thought from how he's been doing all along. And it was almost laughable that a man in 50s, a chairman of a hotel group at that, is fearing his mother in law of a deceased spouse so much that he looked utterly nervous. C'mon Chairman, you're better than this. Why can't he let GS be and explain the MIL properly later instead of sweating bullets and looking like he was about to go hide.
Whoa! Ahn Jae Wook stood on his head for several seconds! It is no mean feat! I think it's something he must have…
I think it's more likely the opposite: Bom persuading her grandma, as I think from this morning new release Bom somehow will become closer with Gwang Sook. Also from what Chairman said before, his mother in law is really REALLY no joke, sounded quite toxic.
I had grossly underestimated Bom, because she even voiced out that she doesn't really like Gwang Sook since the first impression in coming tonight's episode. It's gonna be mountain after mountain for our lead couple after Chairman going through the disapprovals from the brother in laws, given that his mother in law from the states will also return. But in real life, I think disapprovals will be from Chairman's family side as they will most probably think that GS is a gold digger. That said, I enjoyed last night's episode, and it was fun to see Chairman getting a taste of his own medicine by going through D-day hell testing set up by the brother in laws. 😂
