After so much wait, the scheming yet charming daddy Xuan Ye is finally here! Daddy sure is an expert in winning a woman's heart. His son did not even inherit half of his flirting skills 😅
I read from many Chinese fans sharing the fun fact about how this role ended up being played by Cheng Yi. Back then, the crew had originally issued an audition notice for this role and it wasn't supposed to be played by Cheng Yi at all. However, there weren't many actors coming to the audition due to this character having very few scenes and was somewhat an evil and ambitious character. The ones that came to the audition did not fit the role so the director personally asked Cheng Yi to play Xuan Ye instead 😁 It turned out to be a good idea because this character instantly became a fan favorite despite Xuan Ye having very few scenes in the drama. Cheng Yi totally made it his own and perfectly interpreted this role in a short amount of time given to him.
After seeing him in this role I now really want him to challenge a villain role in the future. I know it's rare for popular actors to play an antagonist role but a fan can dream, right? 😎 I know for sure Cheng Yi would slay in that type of role as well.

My favorite Xianxia actually is LAR but I watched almost Xianxia and I enjoyed watching it. I don’t care about the cgi what I want is an actor or an actress that can put me into the drama. As if I am with them. How they conveyed or connect their feelings to the audience that is ths most important. Next is the lesson that the story tell. That’s why i do not like full romance like modern drama because I want depth and lessons in the story. As if I had a take home lesson from that drama. Immortal Samsara top first part of my favorite now because this drama is not so stressful like LAR. This drama has balance from ML and FL. They not easily been swayed by anyone. They are smart and no one can bully them. They stand their ground. That’s why I really love this drama. ❤️
